“Bellman - Osiris -Riviera Suites South Beach Miami”

Overall it was a good experience although my one night there was for business and I did not
really get a chance to spend much time around the hotel. The staff was kind and accommodating.
One person stood out that needs to be commended. All of the bellmen were over the top kind with one rising above the entire hotel staff I met. Osiris (don't know his last name) obviously gives from the heart and has a strong natural core. It is also obvious that this young man has plans for the future as I'm sure he'll go far. If Riviera Suites is smart, they will continue to give him more responsibilities and bring him into management. Well done Osiris! Art

We booked this hotel online using hotwire on the morning of our one night stay. Our main incentive for choosing this hotel was that it came up on hotwire as the cheapest 4-star for that night in SOBE.

When we got to the hotel, the front desk staff advised that our reservation had not "come through" due to an error on hotwire's end. The women helping us at the front desk invited us to have a free cocktail while we were waiting and then retracted the invitation when she realized that the free cocktail happy hour and just ended 5 minutes prior....really? Finally, when our reservation "came through" about 15-20 minutes later, we were advised that there would be an additional "resort fee" of $15. Although not a significant amount, out of principal, we advised the front desk staff that we felt the resort fee should be more clearly indicated on hotwire rather than in the fine print at the bottom. We selected this hotel because we thought from the global hotwire price that it was about $10-20 cheaper than its competitors in the same category, however, had we been more clearly informed of the resort fee, we may have booked elsewhere.

Otherwise, the the hotel's location is really great; within walking distance from the beach as well as the hustle and bustle of the busy SOBE streets. The rooms were small but clean and neatly decorated. As well, it is possible to easily find parking on the streets around the hotel (free from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m.) which ends up being cheaper than the pretty steep valet charge.

I am terribly sorry to read that Hotwire did not enter your reservation into the system. We have been experiencing several issues with Hotwire and them making mistakes such as this one. We do indeed have a resort fee of $15.00. It includes all of the wonderful amenities that you love to enjoy such as the R/T shuttle from Miami International Airport, complimentary cocktail hour from 7-8pm, WiFi, etc. The Hotwire team should have informed you of this at the time that they were creating your reservation. The location of our property is absolutely great. We are in the middle of all the action, within walking distance to all of the hot spots. I am glad that you were content with the cleanliness of your room. We hope that you would stay with us again soon!

The location was very central and we could walk almost everywhere. Alex at the front desk was very helpful with directions and restaurant information. Room was quite small but it was manageable.Very clean. Free cocktails at 7 pm was a real bonus.Great Italien Restaurant just around the corner "Sylvano's". A young gentleman "OSIRIS" was a treat to our holiday. He made us complimentary cappuchinos throughout our 4 days their. He was a very pleasant person to talk to and was a great asset to your hotel.

Hotel in general was great. Only drawback I would say people at the front desk are not friendly at all or they are just doing something else. Location is great, Studio room was big enough for 2 persons and is perfectly clean and neat. Will deff consider going back in the future.

I stayed at the Riviera. I viewed it early on as a nice boutique hotel. Some cleanliness issues existed. A couple days in we discovered termites in the room and bed. It was horrifying and nasty. Hotel response was slow at getting to the room so I took pictures and went to the front desk. Eventually they moved us at 1:30 in the morning to a different suite on the opposite side of the building. That room was nice and clean. Hotel staff shared they had recently fired cleaning staff and were hiring new cleaning staff. My son decided to extent his stay and stay a few extra days in the clean room. The hotel did discount his extended stay by 50%. My original reservation was through Hotwire they have not offered any support and advised me they they need to verify my story with hotel and they can not email me or call me back. I will not use Hotwire again. They just leave you on hold and tell you what they can not do.

I do find this a little iffy as termites eat wood and the beds are not consisted of wood. Can you please provide me with the room that you were staying in? I would like to find out where these termites are coming from. I am glad that we were able to accommodate your son in providing him with a 50% discount on his extended stay. We spend a week in this hotel. When we got to Miami airport the hotel suppose to send a shuttle to pick us up and after waiting almost an hour we had to take a taxi, nobody was there. The hotel was ok, our room was in one building and the pool breakfast area and nice people working was in the other one, across the street. The room was ok, but after few days we had to tell then to change our sheets because we wake up with our legs full of mosquito bites.
Is near of everything but if u want a quite place do not go to this one, there were building another one just beside to add to the main one, they want to do a 24hours party hotel.

I am terribly sorry to read that you were not able to take advantage of our complimentary shuttle that picks up from Miami International Airport. Perhaps you were waiting at the wrong location. Our shuttle picks up on the Second Floor Departure Level Gate G Door 26. I am sorry that you got bit by a bunch of mosquito's. Florida is full of lovely bugs and if you leave the window open this is a perfect chance for them to enter your room. I am not sure if the sheets had anything to do with those bits though. We are conveniently located in the heart of South Beach, within walking distance to all of the hot spots. We hope to have you stay with us again soon!

Very convenient. Everything is nearby, and still, it was quite, even during spring break. The bellboy, Osiris, was particularly helpful and courteous. I got here after an overbooking at the Catalina Hotel & Beach Club. They had everything arranged beforehand. It was a nice surprise.
