I Have been to Miami several times, and I can say this is one of the best Hotels yet. Its beautiful, clean, and family oriented. Away from south beach but not to far to travel there. The rooms are great, and the view from the balcony is out of this world. The main problem I had was the staff. The staff was HORRIBLE, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL,JUST PLAIN NASTY. I had to speak with the Manager on several different occasions. The management team must have not been addressing the issue, because it kept happening. The valet staff was very friendly, but at times it did take maybe 15mins before they were able to get to your car if you were coming or going. My advice to you would be if you are leaving out to call ahead so they can have your car ready.

We are pleased you have found our hotel as one of the best among the properties you have visited in Miami. We are glad you have been satisfied with your room accommodation and the gorgeous view it has to offer from its private balcony. We agree with you completely regarding our beachfront location. Even though it is further north from South Beach, it does provide direct beach access from hotel premises and an easy and fast access to the South Beach area as well. While we are happy you were mostly satisfied with your experience on property with us, we are sorry to read of your disappointment with our staff. At the Grand Beach Hotel, we strive to greet and service all our guests in a hospitable and detail oriented manner and since the experience you have described from your encounters with staff members contradict our property’s service standards, we will definitely direct your feedback to the appropriate department and ensure this issue is addressed onsite, so you may enjoy a better experience in this regards upon your return visit. In order to avoid wait times at valet in the future, we would encourage you to call and request your car at least 5 minutes prior to coming downstairs.

This hotel offers excellent value, in many way the hotel is relatively simple, however, what it may seem to lack in Wow factor it more than makes up for in service and quality.

The staff are courteous and efficient, rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The restaurant Chez Gaston produces high quality food, Steaks are cooked to perfection; try getting that in Australia! T Bone Steak served with a small salad and baked potatoe can only work if the steak is perfect, the focus is on the steak, not concealing poor meat etc by covering it in sauce and excessive garnish. This is steak perfection!

The Lobby bar is unusual in design and the lovely Julia does a wonderful job of taking care of the customers. Tip: have a Mojito hey have two, theya re better than thoseserved at the Fontainbleau!

The minute you walk through the door.... open your wallet. The valet parking ($29 a day) are on to you straight away. Despite having my arm in a sling and my husband explaining that he needed to help me to the room with our beach bags, he was warned that he could only park outside for 10mins or he would get a ticket. Parking generally in Miami beach is pretty expensive, but as we had done all our touring and didnt need our car for a few days, we parked it slightly outside the area (20 min walk) in a free parking zone. On one occasion we wondered downstairs to the lobby bar for a last drink before bed. We asked to see the wine list and was informed in no uncertain terms that we were only allowed 1 drink because after that the barmaid was closing. We did only want 1 drink, but not in that kind of atmosphere. We left and had a private more friendly drink in our room. Overall, we were constantly being made to feel like the staff were doing us a "favour" for providing a service we were paying for. Despite our staffing issues, we did enjoy the size of the rooms and the views. The pool area was very relaxing although one part was completely in the shade from around 3pm so the other areas were very popular and quite difficult to get a sunlounger in. It is also just a few steps from the beach but sunloungers were $30 dollars a day for 2 beds and umberella (ching ching). I have rated this hotel as overall "very good" but this is because of the facilities and definitely not because of the price or unfriendly staff.

While we are happy to read of your joy and satisfaction with our onsite facilities, such as our spacious room accommodations, the beautiful views they have to offer, the two separate pool areas, and the direct beach access from hotel premises, we would like to express our concern regarding your dissatisfaction with the overall service on property. Providing attentive and hospitable guest service is a top priority for us and we would like to apologize if the service rendered to you during your visit in any of our hotel’s outlets has been anything less than that. We definitely take your feedback seriously and will direct your comments regarding the staff service to the appropriate departments. We are very sorry to read of your disappointment with the pricing of certain services offered on property. In this regard, we would like you to know that typically, other hotels that offer complimentary beach chairs & umbrella rentals, valet parking do this because in addition to their standard rates, they charge a resort fee as well. At the Grand Beach Hotel, we do not charge a resort fee, because not all guests plan to use the beach chairs & umbrella rentals, valet parking etc. thus they should not be automatically charged for those. We pride ourselves on giving our guests the freedom of choosing the services they would like to use, as opposed to enforcing fixed, daily fees. Even though valet parking fees are a standard for Miami Beach due to the limitation in space; we do hope you will be happy to learn that our property charges one of the lowest valet parking fees in the area.
We would like to assure you that we always strive to provide our guests with the best experience possible in all aspects of their stay from facilities to service; therefore, we would definitely do our best to improve upon your comments, so your next stay with us is even more enjoyable for you and your family.

very nice room - this is an all suite hotel
beautiful view of beach & atlantic ocean
two seperate pool areas including an adults only pool
very comfortable bed with awesome egyptian cotton sheets

had to wait in the lobby for 2 1/2 hours for my room to be ready
hotel is not within walking distance to anything

Our property is indeed an all-suite hotel and we are happy to learn you have enjoyed your room accommodation, the beautiful views of the beach and ocean it offers from its private balcony and the comfort of the bedding within your suite. We are glad you have taken the time to visit both pool areas on property and have been satisfied with what they had to offer. We apologize you had to wait for your room. The official check-in time at the hotel is 4pm and even though our front desk is happy to check-in guests, who have arrived early, they do not always have the capability of doing so, as early check-in solely depends on the availability and readiness of the room type reserved. We do try to make such wait time, if required for early guests, as smooth as possible by offering guests to store their luggage and by providing guests with towel cards so they may enjoy the pool and beach while waiting. Our hotel is indeed not walking distance from the action of South Beach; however, this area is fast and easy to access from our hotel via a taxi or a bus. We also always try to recommend guests to take advantage of the concierge desk service, as our concierges can suggest different dining options and activities available in our area as well.
We would like to thank you once again for your review. We are looking forward to welcoming you back again soon.

+ located on the beach
+ two nice poolareas, one for families and one for adults only
+ large rooms with nice design
+ fridge, safe and free WIFI in room
- sound and light from the corridor gets into the room, there was a gap between the doorframe and the door.
- the staff is correct but no more
- after getting home I found out that the hotel charged me for minibar that I didn't use. They haven't change the bill yet despite my emails.

The most impressive thing about this hotel is the staff which was always friendly and courteous, and always went the extra mile with a smile. Ksenia presides with a smile over a great breakfast room serving staff - Stephanie, for example, went back to the kitchen on three separate occasions during one breakfast to dig up whatever it was that we wanted and was not readily available. The housekeeping staff provided all the extra towels we asked for; the valet staff always had our car out front on time after we called for it.

The room was nice and clean. We were on the 15th floor facing south with a "partial ocean view"; but the room was close to the beach so that we really got a great view of the ocean and the beach and, in addition, from the balcony we could see west all the way to downtown Miami.

One minor problem was that the WiFi network would disconnect me periodically, so that I had to find it again, select it, and log on from scratch. A minor annoyance, but one that should be remedied.

Another minor problem was that we had a connecting door to the neighboring room, and could hear the kids (and the adults, for that matter) a little bit too much. Some more sound insulation on the connecting doors would be welcome.

But all in all, definitely a place to enjoy and come back to.

Room Tip: Go for "partial ocean view" facing south, high floor, as close to the beach end of the hot...

We stayed here four four days. The hotel is very nice overall. Our room was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. We had a great balcony with a nice view of the ocean and the inter-coastal. The lobby is bustling, but everyone was friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves. The valet parking was very busy. A few times we had to wait in line upon coming into the hotel, but we called ahead whenever we were going out and we never had to wait for our car to leave. The valet staff was always hustling.

The location of this hotel is great. You are away from the SouthBeach crowds, but you can get there in ten minutes if you want. There are also restaurants a few minutes to the north in the 71st street area.

Everyone on the staff was friendly, the elevators were fast, and the housekeeping staff was very efficient and check in/ out were painless.

The pools at this hotel were very nice but crowded. We were never able to get chairs at the main pools and were only able to get chairs at the adult pool late in a day that was overcast. Only one of the two hot tubs up there was hot, so that one was crowded.

My main criticism of this hotel is of the beach accommodations. You have to pay $10 per chair and umbrella. I understand that is the way it is at most places. However, the cushions on most of these chairs were stained and grungy. The same goes for the towels. One day I had to return the towel that the attendant had draped over my chair because it had a large stain on it- something he should have noticed. If I am paying for a chair it should be clean, and the beach, pool and even the room towels need an upgrade.

Other than that issue we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.
