The rooms were spacious. Having the 2 bathrooms was nice. The 2nd bathroom was small but is sufficient and has toilet and shower. These are not huge rooms but compared to regular hotel rooms they are large and comfortable. The decor was challenging. They chose white and beige colors in a Miami style for most of the room, including for the carpet, however, not a great choice for hotels because any minor wear with this style is very, very apparent.

The beach was very nice and beautiful, pool has nice lounge chairs. They do charge for lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach separately (though not at the pool of course). The pool on the upper deck has a nice view of the city skyline with a jacuzzi. Overall good stay. There is a boardwalk that starts a couple blocks south and goes for multiple miles. The location is quiet, further away from the central South Beach mayhem. Easiest and more pleasant to get down to south beach main area via the board walk if need to rather than taxi, as Miami taxi drivers are unfortunately, and rather notoriously, the worst.

We are pleased to read of your wonderful feedback regarding our room accommodations. Our property does proud itself for offering guests spacious rooms with the added comfort of two full bathrooms available in the majority of suites on property. Even though our in-room décor is in white and beige, our housekeeping department does strive to maintain its flawless outlook and cleanliness at the highest level possible at all times. You would be happy to learn that we have decided to use a darker color for our carpets upon their upcoming replacement, so you can enjoy an even better room outlook next time you visit us. We are glad you enjoyed the time spent at our pool areas; the 7th floor adults only tranquility pool does provide a great view of the Miami skyline directly from the pool or Jacuzzi. We agree with you that the direct beach access from hotel premises is another amenity we have to offer guests that contributes to a nice stay on property with us. The beach chairs and umbrella rentals do indeed come at an additional cost; however, other hotels that offer complimentary beach chairs & umbrella rentals do this because in addition to their standard occupancy, state, and local taxes, they charge a resort fee as well. At the Grand Beach Hotel, we do not charge a resort fee, because not all guests plan to use the beach chairs & umbrella rentals, etc. thus they should not be automatically charged for it. We pride ourselves on giving our guests the freedom of choosing the services they would like to use, as opposed to enforcing fixed, daily fees. You are right on target when it comes to our property’s location. Our beachfront hotel is located further north from South beach; however, this area is easily accessible via taxi or a bus ride. Furthermore, the area surrounding our property offers great features such as the Miami Beach Boardwalk and allows for a quiet and relaxing beach vacation.

I made a reservation through the hotel website eight months in advance and received confirmation of the reservation. The day before arrival I received an email to say that my room had been cancelled with no explanation. After four frantic phone calls to the hotel (from the UK) I eventually established that my credit card had been declined the day before arrival because the expiry date had changed. I asked why the hotel hadn't contacted me so that I could resolve any issues and I was told that normal procedure was to cancel. I asked for the reservation to be re-instated and was told that the room type was no longer available. The best that the hotel could offer was a lesser room at the same price. I said that this did not seem reasonable and was told that the alternative was to pay the price showing on the website which was now much higher than when I had made my reservation. The general attitude of the reception manager was terrible, she had no understanding of customer service. I found myself with no reservation 8 hours prior to boarding a flight to Miami with my family. I was extremely stressed and upset with the whole experience and found the staff at the Grand Beach Hotel to be lacking in any kind of compassion or understanding. I managed to secure alternative accommodation at The Savoy Hotel on Ocean Drive which was excellent. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much bother. A complete contrast to the experience that I had with the staff at the Grand Beach. I would not recommend this hotel.

While we would definitely like to apologize for the customer service aspect of your experience, we would like to communicate to you once more that the reason for your reservation’s cancellation has been the lack of a valid credit card guarantee, which is required in order to hold a reservation. Subsequently, we have reached out to you via an email notification providing you the opportunity to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, in such cases when room type booked is no longer available, new reservation must be made, using prevailing rate and inventory. We apologize once again if this procedure was not properly communicated to you in your telephone correspondence with the property. We assure you that follow-up actions are being taken to prevent such shortcomings in the future.
Please accept our apology once more. We are looking forward to the opportunity of speaking with you and gaining your trust back.

Average hotel, nice small room (not as big as you think they'll be). Kids everywhere. Great family hotel but would avoid if after a couples romantic hotel, or older generation. Nice beach position. Expensive for what it is, but that's Miami for you. Families only.

While we agree with you that our hotel offers suitable amenities and services for guests travelling with their family, we must mention that on property we cater just as well to guests travelling with their partners. We do have an entire pool area dedicated to adults only at our 7th floor tranquility pool, where guests travelling with their partners may enjoy a quiet and relaxing time by the pool. We are glad you have enjoyed our beachfront location, which provides for another great amenity onsite- our direct beach access from hotel premises. It is unfortunate to read you have found our property’s room accommodations as small, because our hotel prouds itself for offering guests very spacious suites compared to the standard for Miami Beach. Furthermore, the majority of our rooms offer guests the convenience and comfort of two full bathrooms, two televisions, and a separate seating area.
We do appreciate the feedback and recommendations you have extended to other travelers. It would be our pleasure to have the opportunity to greet you back on property soon.

guys this hotel is the best of the best if you are looking for a great vacation book it now it was awesome from A to Z it wasn't expensive according to other hotels in the area and was so beautiful fresh and new the service was awesome!!!!

Should have realised this was not going to turn out well when the trip started with the concierge "forgetting" to book the car to collect my family from the airport. One concierge turns out to be brilliant and the other is rude and ineffective, so pot luck.

Laundry not collected from room in spite of 3 calls to housekeeping. Delay meant it was not processed until the following day..... which was day of departure. After much hassle it was returned unwashed 28hours after the first call to housekeeping. If you call them and Ana answers, say hi but ask to speak with someone else........

Scrambled eggs in the breakfast buffet are reconstituted from powder I am certain.... Oh, and you pay for that as extra on top of $699 plus taxes per night over Easter.

Free wifi but it's VERY slow and kicks you off after 15 minutes of inactivity so you have to re-log in frequently

Big shame as the location is great - a 10 minute, $10 cab ride to SoBe and the action - and the design and decor are crisp. I suspect it's a management issue as the staff performance is so very inconsistent between different individuals.

For the money I paid I will learn the expensive lesson and next time I will go back to the Fontainebleau - may be a bit more expensive but they know all about service

While it is nice, you have enjoyed our beachfront location and its close proximity to South Beach, we are concerned when reading of your overall experience on property as it does not comply with our property’s service standards. At our hotel, we strive to excel in the service we provide to all our guests; therefore, we would like to apologize sincerely if the service rendered to you during your stay has been anything less than that. We have notified both our front office and housekeeping departments regarding the issues you have mentioned in your review. We once again apologize for the misunderstanding with your airport transportation. Our concierge at the time had provided you with the rates for an airport transfer, but since it was not proceeded with the booking of an actual reservation for airport transfer no such confirmation was provided from our concierge. We sincerely hope you have enjoyed the small amenity, which our concierge sent to your room as a goodwill gesture. We would also like to assure you that the scrambled eggs we serve in our breakfast buffet are not from powder and we work to keep them fresh on the buffet line. Please accept our apology, if their quality did not live up to your expectations. It is unfortunate you have been disappointed with our complimentary WiFi service, which is offered throughout the entire property. Even though we provide this amenity at no additional charge, we do strive to maintain a fast and reliable connection. The system might log you off in case of longer inactivity, in order to provide a faster and more reliable connection to guests who are actively using the network at the time; however, we have simplified the guest login process to the maximum to ensure quick log-in.
We would like for you to rest assured that your feedback is important to us. Very nice hotel with very large rooms that you won't find in the heart of South Beach. Refrigerators in every room and 2 pool areas(one for adults only). Cab rides to S. Beach about $10 - $12 each way and very helpful friendly staff. Very comfy beds. Beach & water was beautiful; looked like the carribean. Water dispensers with fruit in lobby & pool were a nice touch. Bar and snack/coffee counter in lobby area very convenient. Not much atmosphere in hotel restaurant...just a large open space with little decor.

You are absolutely correct that the suites Grand Beach hotel has to offer are certainly more spacious compared to the standard for Miami Beach. We are happy you have also enjoyed the bedding and in-room amenities provided with our suites, such as the refrigerator. It is great you have taken advantage of both pool areas on property, as well as the direct beach access from hotel premises our beachfront location offers. Our hotel is indeed located further north from South Beach; however, it is easily accessible via a short taxi ride, as you have mentioned, or one of the public buses, which stop right across the street. We appreciate your positive feedback on the water dispenses with fruit, which we have placed in the lobby and pool area; we hope you have found them refreshing. The Espresso and Lobby Bar located on the first level of the hotel are truly perfect for grabbing a quick snack or a drink prior to heading out to the pool or South Beach.

Our king suite was ok - fair size, clean and quiet, with two bathrooms (crucial with two young kids). We found food in the restaurant and room service menu to be above average. The pool area and the beach were both very nice. The service, however, was appalling: upon arriving we were rushed to a wrong room, had to ask for missing towels and a spare blanket for several times (finally my husband had to go to the housekeeping himself), valet parking (the only option available) took forever to bring the car, even with a pre-call, the mini bar was not replenished... Just minor touches, but kills the mood.

The majority of rooms on property come with two full bathrooms, which as you have mentioned is an in-room feature that brings additional comfort, especially to guests travelling with children.
