“Great customer service !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013 via mobile

My girlfriends and I came here for a bachelorette party. We arrived from LA around 8am and were hoping to be able to check in before 3:30 as we were very tired. Manuel the manager was able to give us an ocean front room and was very helpful and allowed us to check in hours before we expected. It was a great 4 days with a great location and spacious rooms! We were all very happy. We were also very happy to see the front desk man keeping an eye out for us when we would come back late at night from the clubs. It was nice to see he was watching for our safety making sure no one was following us back to the hotel. Thank you!!

Nice hotel, bit dated but overall. Had a great 2 room suite, ocean view, kitchen, well stocked frig for an excellent price. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Highly recommended, good value compared to others on the beach. I'll return soon.

Room Tip: Ask for #402

My first review.

I recently stayed at Casanova from Sun.-Thur. I would recommend this place to friends...with a few caveats.

1. Do research, know that this is not a luxury hotel or even a full service hotel. It is a place that offers large rooms that are relatively clean, nicely appointed and very spacious.

2. If you require everything in the room to work 100% to be happy, choose another place. The only issues I had were that the full size stainless steel fridge/freezer wouldn't make ice, one of the 4or 5 lamps didn't work, and the bathroom sink leaked a little. Bed squeaked on EVERY move I made. The lobby currently sucks, but that affected my stay 0.25%

Some great things.

Friendly staff, huge 1 bedroom suites with full size fridge and microwave, walk-in closet, rooftop pool with a great view of the ocean. On Sunday night the roof was really rockin, with a bartender and music, not sure how oftentimes that happens. Location is great right near the action, but still able to sleep.

Tip: There is a Walgreens right around the corner and they sell alcohol, even the liquor. The food on Ocean Dr is costly, explore. Learn how to ride the bus(I did). Parking is terrible.

Girls Trip ...4 of my girlfriends and I met in South Beach, Miami and stayed here. After staying in several places in South Beach over the past few years. I must say this was the best! The Suites are located on the ocean and the suites are beautiful. Kitchen is fully stocked and equipped with everything you need. The staff was extra friendly and extra Accommodating. I am excited to see how there new lobby turns out. The price was reasonable and we have already booked our next trip to stay there. Worth the money the Suites are awesome forget about those negative reviews...people are just being nit picky...We were on the 5th floor ocean view doesn't get better than that on South Beach.

We stayed for two nights instead of one week at this "hotel" on Ocean Drive/South Beach and were very disappointed. The entrance is on the side on a narrow alley, at first we had a hard time locating the hotel. On the third day the elevator stopped running to 5th floor where our room was, and we had to go from 4th to 5th through a staircase which smelled like mold, as did the whole lobby after a rainy evening. The reason we checked out early was that with an asthmatic child we could not take the chance that he would have had an asthma attack because of the mold and we would have had to find a doctor and possibly have him taken to a hospital. The room was quite big, but noisy, dirty all over and worn out. The staff and housekeeping seem to do the very minimum to keep up the place. The great reviews amaze me, as it deserves nothing more than a mention about the big fridge and the location, which is good...but all the other hotels on Ocean Drive and/or Collins/Art Deco area have a great location too. My suggestion would be to pay a little more for a better place.

recommended by a well seasoned traveler & was not disappointed. there are certain things that you need to overlook but this choice met & exceeded our families' needs. location is perfect. One bedroom suite was very comfortable-loved the bed, better than home! very gracious & accomodating-extra linens, towels & superior recommendations for food & exploring since we were only there for two nights. Will definitely go back--thank you Manuel & staff!

Room Tip: Room 502 was excellent, in front, ocean view, within the heart of the action

We just returned from a lovely vacation in Miami Beach. I found this hotel on trip advisor, as well as I think I saw it on Bookit? Someone who I know through work said this area was the quieter end on the South Beach area. It was just at the end of the Art Deco district-5th and Ocean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is a a small boutique style hotel, with very large nice suites. The photos online did not do justice to the interiors. The floor and bathroom were all stone inlay, very nice. The bed was memory foam I think, and super comfy. The apartment like rental had a flat screen TV's in both the kitchen/living room area, and the attached bedroom, as well as a dock to play music from a mobile iPod/phone device. The rooftop pool area was nice. The pool is shallow, but most are in this area of Miami from what I read online. The view of the ocean up there was beautiful, and they had quiet a few lounge chairs. The lobby like the other reviews said is a little run down. But they said they are expanding and renovating right now. Myself, I would rather have a spacious and fancy room area, then a top notch common area.
The only criticism has nothing to do with the hotel. The area of ocean drive near the hotels has many restaurants and they harass you constantly about specials, very like barkers at the fair, so you may want to cross over and walk closer to the beach. The hotel itself was very quiet, but there is garbage truck action in the alley from about 7AM. But with the heat you can imagine how bad it would stink if they did not clean that refuse up every day.
