“A small French corner on Espanola Way”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

We've found that place and visited twice. It is very French including service style. The food was excellent. We enjoyed mushroom toped galete, apple/calvados crepe, cider and coffee the most. They have enormous amount of different types of crepes in their menu as well as very good cold Cider. It feels very Normandy there!

“Quaint cafe on Espanola”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

I love coming to this place after a morning at the beach. It is so "agradable" - good rillettes and crêpes.

“Nice unassuming Cafe”

Great Coffee, tasty crepes. Casual atmosphere.
Friendly Service. Visited Sunday Morning. Was recomended by someone who said it rivaled her grandmothers crepes.

“Sweet slice of France in South Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

Great coffee!

An admitted non-beach dweller, I found myself in South Beach in the heat of the summer with my girlfriend, surrounded by typical beach cuisine. Then we found A La Folie in Esplanade - what a joy! We visited twice for coffee and ate once - very nice set of typical French pastries. Espresso drinks were all excellent.

Simple but attractive atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating.

I highly recommend!

“Not what I expected.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

I visited this small cafe more or less a year ago with my cousin, had the pear and brie crepes and they tasted great! Plus the service was nice., Well, two weeks ago I convinced my boyfriend to go with me by saying it was a cute cozy small place in a very touristic trap street but it was worth it, i was wrong, we got there, parked on the street right infront of the restaurant on a coin parking meter but didnt have coins so we walked in and asked if maybe they had (not that they had to have) but the girl that was later on our server was really rude and said no, she didnt have and just ignored is while we figured it out, so we did and sat ourselves on a table, the staff was to busy texting on their phones to even realize we had sat down, after a while she brought the menu over, i had the same thing and he had one called the "complete crepe", what a shame, quality wise it wasnt even close to what i had the first time, food was as bland as the server, who was not interested in working what so ever. Unfortunatelly i wont be going back, tip guys, consistency of quality and service!!!
