This place is for the budget conscience. I know you get what you pay for but for starters it is a residential place where several tenants have pets. I have allergies to pets so that was bothersome to me. The carpet in the hallway is filthy! The shower curtain was filthy. I told them about this and i beleive house keeping sprayed it down because it did look cleaner the next day. But hello...its like $227 a night and it costs what maybe $10 bucks to replace a shower curtain. The water didnt get that hot, which was okay for my husband because he doesnt like his water to hot. To make it worse there were gnats flying around in the bathroom. Disgusting!

We had a nice trip in Miami but the hotel stay was a disappointment. I would have loved to stay at the Fountain Blue. In fact i resisted the temptation to just up and go. Unfortunately, our budget didnt allow it at $500+ a night. Which is why this place is best for you if youre on a budget.

First, id like to thank tripadvisor because this helped me make my choice of where to stay ! now i want to thank Churchill crown resident , for making this experience amazing ! our room was gorgeous. everything you want in a suite and more ! our balcony had a nice view of both city and beach !..... there was some construction going on and was a bit noisy and not a good view but it wasn't a big deal ! the lobby was very nice and clean and smelled very good. we had valet parking everyday and was pretty prompt. The staff here is so welcoming and sweet ! and room service was great as well ! we had a Primo cafe right across the street, this was so convenient for breakfast and coffee and other needs. the pool and jacuzzi and access to the beach was amazingly comfy and useful !! I have no complaints. im not one of high end because i never came from that but this was enough for me and my husband ! we had a great honeymoon and we cant be more thankful for the service here !, some day i wish to return with family !!

I have seen some reviews where the issue seems to be lack of service. First of all let me just say that I did not have that problem, but I could see how someone would have that perception if they are used to staying in full service hotels. This is not a hotel, (Used to be apparently) but has been turned into a condominium complex in which some of the empty condos are managed by Churchill. Some of the other condos are occupied by permanent tenants.

That said, this is an excellent self-service option. I do alot of travelling and feel I have a good grasp on averages. And yes, the check-in procedure is a little unusual (I couldnt get into the building for all of 5 seconds) but was pleasantly greeted and my wait to talk to the front desk was minimal. The check in time is 4pm and we showed up at 11 am but still they accomodated us by 1pm and in the meantime, secured our luggage so we could go to the beach. And oh, what a beach! One of the best on the coast. There is a pleasant pool with an outdoor shower to wash the sand off your feet, a jacuzzi, even a meditation area. And though the building is kid-friendly it was quiet and not completely overrun with screaming kids. I had my twelve year old with me and he really seemed to enjoy himself. Juan, one of the employees at Churchill, saw that my son's wave board was a bit small and offered up a loaner. Thanks also to Ahuva also for being accomodating. In fact, everyone was super helpful and friendly. It should be noted that we were there in the middle of the week, so less crowded.
There is a small deli and convenience store across the street with fresh salads and empanadas, but for everyday items like SPF lotion, I found the prices to be much better at Walgreens around the corner on 41st. There are several food options within walking distance. Dunkin Donuts, Carrabas, Latin Cafe etc. I liked that we were slightly away from the wild south beach party area.
As someone who works in Public Safety I am always hyper-aware of safety issues. The building is locked and it takes a keyfob to get in, I never felt unsafe during my stay. Elevators were modern and the fire strobes, extiguishers and sprinklers looked up to code. This is important in an older building such as this.

I initially purchased an ocean"view" room but after buying this on a Travel site I started wishing i had paid the extra 20. for an ocean"front" room. I had written the manager a few days before inquiring about purchase of an upgrade and they happily accomodated me. It was worth it. The oceanfront view is to die for.

Bottom line: if you are a diva who needs waited on hand and foot this place is not for you. If you want a spacious self serve room with a modern kitchen and a huge comfortable bed at a reasonable price, then stay here!

We planned a simple Miami Beach vacation - no exceedingly high expectations for this trip.
The lobby was clean enough, the valet parking attendants were mostly helpful enough, the location convenient for our needs and we enjoyed the layout of the apartment. For these reasons I generously give this place "2 out of 5."

The tiny/dirty/peeling balcony was a disappointment (can live with that).
Beach towels felt and looked like sand paper, The carpeting was filthy ... bottom line: housekeeping was beyond bad - unacceptable.

We were unfortunate to have a serious medical emergency during our one week stay (not their fault) - the assistance/advice of the management was sought and nowhere to be found for days... and when I finally spoke to someone in charge she was not particularly nice and no one working at this apartment building (which has great potential) seemed to care one bit about anything having to do with guests.

We were not looking for 4 or 5 star concierge service, but a warm blooded human being would have been nice.
