The hotel entrance is cool. All-white, modern, low light.

The staff was always very nice, from the front service to the valet.

The room is ok. We stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment, with a living room, and partial view to the bay. They are big, with a small kitchen and table, sofa bed, but not as modern as the lobby.

BIG ISSUE, in my opinion. The hotel has only one restaurant, and even worse, the options from the room service are ridiculous. 1 burger, 1 fish, 1 chicken, 1 meat, and some random appetizers like guacamole. Unacceptable for a hotel like this.

The location is OK. You are not far from the South Beach hot spots, but you have to walk or drive at least 8 to 10 blocks to some party-scene, stores, etc...

In a few word, the biggest positive aspect is definitely the staff. The negative one is the room service.

I have very mixed feelings about this property. I love the location in South Beach, away from the bustle but still close to everything. It feels more "neighborhood" on this side of South Beach. The hotel is fine. Affected design (already feeling oddly dated) and the rooms are really large...arguably too large. My biggest pet peeve was a bathroom that seemed fine, but in practice was just unusable. There was no counter space, the shower got water everywhere and the lighting was poor. Runner up: the elevators were glacial and constantly packed. In general, though the property is relatively new, the hotel is showing its age. The staff was agreeable, though the front desk always seemed mobbed (maybe because there were just two employees at all times, in peak season, on a weekend). All in all, not a bad choice...but there are better choices in South Beach. We had a cockroach in our room, but given this is Florida, I will give a pass.

There are many great features in this hotel but a few basic additions that could move it to a 5 star. The rooms are spacious and bed very comfortable. Great rest every night. Location fairly central to Lincoln Rd and the Ocean. Both great places to go daily..about 20 min walk each way. Phone did not work in th room; pool was crowded and drinks at pool ridiculously overpriced. Staff very friendly. Room very clean. Kitchen could be better equipped with a few more dishes and pots and pans. We like to eat breakfast in room and although there is a small stove, youcpuldn'tfook anything as there wasn't a pan in the room. Not sure we would stay again.

My sister and I just came back from the Mondrian and we had a great trip! Everyone was so helpful and so nice! When we checked in we got upgraded for free and when we got back to our room after the first day we had a bottle of champagne from Rosa who checked us in who is awesome! Our suite was beautiful so much room! Very clean! Great view! We were always greeted by pool, front door, the concierge we always felt special. There is a whole foods around the corner and a great cafe Taste Bakery with yummy muffins and a ton of healthy breakfast options. Nice walk to Lincoln Rd, Collins, and Ocean. If you're not a walker than you might not find this a "nice" walk. We also got a massage done in their spa which was awesome! My only complaint was our room wasn't cleaned until after 4 pm everyday but when we called for clean towels they were efficient and prompt. It might have been because our room was at the end of the hallway not sure.
