First impressions upon arrival at the hotel were the escorting of a young girl off the premises and the music was playing loud everywhere. Upon arrival to the room, the room was FREEZING COLD and the finished cleaning job was way below expectation. I opened a cupboard door and there was an air conditioning unit full of dust. The front desk staff have the usual fake faces with same rehearsed speech. Requests and contacts with staff is very difficult and not easy. The pool area is kept clean and better than most hotels. Valet parking staff are all nice except one of them age aprox. 35 that appears to be on a mission to dominate the rest with his voice and body language and lack of smile.
Places that need urgent attention are ..... cleaning in between the mirror and the sink, the bottom of the shower entrance, change of the gold mosaic shelf where you put the soap in the shower which is totally loose, the chandeliers in the showers were rusted, the chandeliers at the entrance where you valet your car are all broken. So all in all I thought this hotel was all show and not much substance when you look just a little bit deeper and you see the cracks. Probably only good for party people that want to try and feel important about themselves. Very poor customer relations representation and lack of cooperation between staff which is usually caused by poor leadership. Simple training of staff, some basic repair work and a dose of common sense and less showmanship can bring this hotel to incredible glory. I am to believe that the owners are investors and not hoteliers. Thanks for reading.

College friend and I met up in Miami for a girls' weekend so we only stayed here for 2 nights but it is a great choice in South Beach. Being on the bay side really saves some money but the views were still great, and the pool area is beatiful. Rooms are spacious and have kitchenettes which is nice if you are staying longer than we did and want to eat in your room occasionally. I can't say enough about how comfortable the beds are. SHowers are mosaic tiled with a chandelier showerhead - really cool. Service was great from truly everyone there, although I do have to give a special kudos to David at the pool since that was who we had the most contact with. While I admit that the trendy decor is not my personal preference for daily life, it fits in perfectly in Miami and is really well done. There were only 2 things that I really didn't like: 1. is the face painted on the room wall; kind of creepy since it faced the bed. 2. I understand the club scene but music in the bar was just way too loud for me; it's impossible to have a conversation. A lot of people probably woulnd't have a problem with either of these things. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again.

Super staff, beautiful rooms, great location if you want to be close to the action without having to give up on sleep or cleanliness. Nancy at front desk and David at pool are rock stars. I stay in over 100 hotels a year and this is a truly wonderful place.

I recently stayed at the Mondrian South Beach and could not have asked for a better time. We were celebrating a birthday and the entire staff made every effort to make it memorable. Pricilla Jose Noriega, and Emar all from the Front Office all made sure our stay was flawless. Everyone form the doorman to the pool servers made our stay unforgettable!
