“Nice place !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

I stayed here 10 days during June. It's a beautiful little hotel, just 2min from the beach.
There is a lot of good restaurant around (I recommend the Front Porch Cafe for breakfast, sooo tasty !).

My room was the 17, spacious and looked absolutely like on the pictures.

The staff was also really nice and always helpful.

The only thing who can be improved is the soundproofing and the blind window (even if they are completely closed, the room still really bright a the sunshine).

Despite this, I loved my holiday here and for sure I'll recommend this hotel !

I had a wonderful experience at Villa Paradiso. The room was perfect, I was sad that I wasn't staying longer to take full advantage of it! They are set up like a studio apartment, including a kitchen and living area. The room was clean and bright, we had no complaints. The location is also fantastic. Quick walk to the beach, close to tons of restaurants, really can't be beat. The staff (I think she was the owner) was also incredibly helpful in helping orchestrate our travel plans to make sure we had cabs when we needed them or anything else that we needed. The pricing is very reasonable for what you get.

I would highly recommend.

Everything about the place was first class, perfect location, clean and tidy, good air con. Small niggles include no restaurant or pool but you are right next to the beach and rooms have a kitchenette so not really an issue.
Big comfy bed, attentive staff and rooms very spacious.
Would return and recommend without a doubt. Brilliant!

Room Tip: Room 7 very good.

Hello,

I stayed at the Villa Paradiso on May 9th-13th and stayed in apartment number 14. I came with a group of friends who were looking for a decent priced hotel and as close as possible to the beach. We were the last group who was coming in to check-in for the night. The nice lady who was working at the front desk the night of May 9th was extremely welcoming.

When arriving into the room, I was in complete awe in how clean the room was and how large it was. Read the negative reviews and expected to see what other guests have seen, however saw nothing negative about the apartment. The bathrooms were small, but also clean. The room was updated, (although this is my opinion) for the price we paid it was well worth the stay !

A block away from the beach and 3-4 blocks away from the bars of Ocean Drive. No need for a car if looking to spend most of the time on the beach or on the strip! Taxi cab fares were reasonable and cheap after a long night at the bars on Ocean Drive, $5 :DDDDD !!!!

The only issue I had was when planning the trip, I had called the hotel and was misinformed about some rates when adding other people into the room. I orginally booked for 1 person and was added 3 more people. I was not informed that I had to pay an extra $30/night for another 2 guests, but other than that it was great ! STILL, nothing negative to stay.

I WOULD ALWAYS CHOSE THIS HOTEL AS MY VACATION HOME WHEN COMING BACK TO MIAMI BEACH :) !

Room Tip: Read reviews from other guests Choose lower floor rooms IF you have a lot of luggage ( thank good...

My wife and I stayed at the Villa Paradiso after returning from a cruise in May. The small 17 bedroom hotel is situated slap bang in the centre of Miami Beach on Collins Avenue, one block away from the famous Ocean Drive. The price for our room was excellent, compared to other small hotels in the area.

We were given room 2, next to reception, on the ground floor. The bedroom is a bright, airy room, with two large, comfortable double beds, and has a chaise longue, and large flat screen t.v.

This open plan bedroom leads through to a dining room, with a dining table and 4 chairs, which then leads into the good sized kitchen.
The kitchen has a gas cooker, large fridge/freezer, coffee maker (with free coffee supplied every day) and the cupboards are full of all the cooking utensils you will require to cook a meal if you want.

The small bathroom has a shower and a bath, and all the quality toiletries are replenished every day, as are your towels. The whole apartment is spotlessly clean.

There is an air conditioning unit in the bedroom and a large ceiling fan in the dining room, which keeps the place nice and cool.

The rooms on the ground floor are perfect, as there is a back door in the kitchen which leads out to a long, narrow sunny, patio area. Breakfast here in the morning sun is just ideal, although you do not have complete privacy, as the hotel next door also has a patio area for guests.

At the entrance to the hotel, there is a lovely, shaded patio, with plenty of tables and chairs for you to sit and relax with a book or a wine before heading out. Both back and front patios are covered in large palm trees and foliage, creating a lovely tropical atmosphere.

We only had one slight problem when we were there for the week, and this was quickly fixed by the handyman.

The girls at reception, Mariana, Judith, Anna and Sole were very knowledgable and helpful when we needed advice on excursions and places of interest in Miami Beach.

We decided to stock up the fridge and have beakfast in the sunny patio area, and the girls in reception recommended a supermarket called Art Deco, 2 minutes away on Washington Avenue which we frequently used.

Close to the Villa is a 'must' visit bar called Mac's Club Deuce Bar. This is where some of the local celebs pop in for a drink. It is diagonally opposite the hotel in 14th Street, and is one of the original Miami 'dive' bars. Everyone, who is anyone, pops in here for a drink, including, according to the barman, Irvine Welsh, author of Trainspotting. So, if you want to immerse yourself in the local culture, and don't mind the smokey atmosphere, grab a beer in here and mix with the locals, they are a very friendly bunch.

The enormously popular La Sandwicherie, across from Mac's bar, is the place to go for massively overflowing sandwiches at reasonable prices. They have a great menu, and you can sit and eat, or take away and eat in the Villa Paradiso patio/garden, like we did, and it's open late.

Not far away on 11th Street, we can recommend the 11th Street Diner, for a New York steak and one of their excellent draught beers. This is a 1950's style American diner, straight out of Happy Days, only the Fonz was missing.

The Villa Paradiso is centrally situated for some of the most popular Cuban and Italian restaurants, which are close by in Espanola Way, a small busy, pedestrianised street full of character and buzzing with atmosphere. Have a drink in one of the other 'dives' at the opposite end of the street. Mingle with the locals in the aptly named Lost Weekends bar, a busy place, with pool tables and dart boards.

If you feel like a bit of retail therapy, Lincoln Road is very handy and is on 16th Street. It is full of up-market shiops and boutiques, and is also choc-a-block full of great restaurants and cafes.
If you like a good beer, I can recommend the Abbey Brewing Co. on 16th Street, a micro-brewery with some fantastically tasty Trappist ales, next to one of the most popular of all restaurants in Miami Beach, the Yardbird Southern Table and Bar.

The Villa also has on its books a local, knowledgable, personal chauffeur/come guide, available on request, who will pander to all your requests, and will drive you anywhere. He will take you to Key West and the Everglades, saving you all the hassle of finding a reliable Travel Company. He can take you snorkelling, show you around all the main tourist sites, and stay with you all day, or come back and collect you. Your very own Man Friday in Miami, who can save you a lot of time, if you are in Miami for a short time only.

The Villa is only one block away from Ocean Drive, where you can find some of Miami's great bars and cocktail lounges. The Clevelander is a large, popular, open-air lounge, with plenty of music and a permanent disc jockey, one of the hot spots worth a look. Ocean Drive is jumping at night and you will find gay bars, where the transvestites strut up and down the pavements. They are dressed to kill, and, miming to the latest pop songs, are being egged on by everyone. All part of the Miami nightscene.

The News Cafe on Ocean is another popular place to sit and people-watch. If you walk further down, past 5th Street, you will eventually reach South Pointe. This is right on the edge of the water, and you will find a beautiful restaurant called Smith and Wallensky's, where you can sit and have a coffee or wine, while watching the enormous cruise liners opposite.

There is plenty we didn't see during our stay at the Villa Paradiso, but we are certainly glad we booked into this little gem in South Beach.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms have access to patio areas for breakfast. Upstairs rooms can be a problem if you...

Stayed here for a couple nights in April, 2013. I was travelling alone on this particular trip so the massive room I was given seems like a bit of a waste but fantastic none the less. One of the rooms had a kitchenette - even had a stove - in it so I was able to reheat some left over pizza I had the night before and I just love being able to do that... The hotel itself is nestled between a couple other buildings with a back adn front entrance. The back entrance makes for an easy jaunt to the beach (a block or two) and you still walking distance to everything. Staff was friendly, room was clean and all my needs were met. What more could you ask for? I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Stayed here for one night for a bit of South Beach clubbing. Room was very clean and nice! I really enjoyed the decor of the room and the woman at the front was very pleasant and accommodating. Would come back in the future. Location was top notch as it was within walking distance of everything. Great value too!
