“Great staff, perfect location, clean BUT...”

Got a really great deal online but would not be happy if we'd pay the full price. It's just not a 5star hotel YET!

We were greeted very friendly and the staff was the best we had in a long time. No complains at all! Got a free upgrade upon arrival - they put us on a higher level...

Rooms are huge! Beds are very comfy! Wonderful view! Great location! Lovely decor although a little worn out.

What was annoying was the way toooo loud music from outside - it was on from 6:45am till 3am and we only fell asleep because we were extremely tired...

Also the shower / glass door was not cleaned from the inside every day.

Nevertheless we'd definitely return and I'd say it's 4.7 out of 5 points!

We stayed here three years ago for three nights and loved the location and the hotel was special. Unfortunately attention to detail has slipped. The rooms are wonderful, but it is very noisy at night with the new bar next door, the pool area although small was always short of clean towels and not looked after throughout the day. In general it's looking a little tired. The outside restaurant was truly disappointing this time. Such a shame standards have slipped we won't be returning.

Perfect location with beautiful ocean views. Excellent, helpful staff. Outdated furniture. Comfy beds. We arrived extra early and the wonderful staff was able to check us in at 9am so we could get a nap after an overnight flight. Beach amenities were nice. We never made it to the pool since it was on the cooler side and the pool was shaded.

The hotel is located centrally on Ocean Dr.
The problem is that it is extremly noisy until late at night. This wouldn't be a problem if they had real windows but with simple glas like the room had it is like you are lying on the street.
The hotel and the room itself is very nice.
The pool is small but nice.
If one doesn't mind the noise (the club 1200 is right next door) it is a good place.

We stayed three nights at The Tides recently following a cruise. This was our second time there. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The rooms all face the ocean, which is nice. This time, though, the carpeting and walls seemed a bit worse for wear. It needs a bit of sprucing up. On the positive side, in addition to a wonderful staff, the location is ideal, the bar is great, and the rooms are very comfortable.

Just like the Delano hotel you're going to pay to stay here ..mm the upside is its an elegant 5 diamond hoyel all the way... beautiful marble throughout, fantastic service and right on Ocean Drive so you can drink and have fun and don't have to worry about getting back to your hotel.. it's right there in the middle of everything

It's been a while since I've been to South Beach. The Art Deco area is now a hellish parade of street barkers trying to entice tourists into Ocean Drive front restaurants selling huge cocktails with two bottles of beer upended in them.

Which is fine if that's what you came for, but a hotel website pitching the upscale Art Deco experience might want to mention they have a very poor George Benson cover artist on until 1am or so on a Saturday morning, and he's probably there to drown out the noise from the thumping disco from the bar next door.

Nice room. Spacious and truly Art Deco, with a great view of the ocean. On its own it deserves more than my measly rating. But the poor food, cheap two for one bar, and pool backing on to a car park just let the whole experience down. Never again, not ever.
