We stayed at the Tides between 11 and 15 October. Service was fantastic. Had a couple of problems that were dealt with efficiently. There is a hint of luxury, but a total absence of pretension, about the hotel. We had a beach-facing room and the view was wonderful. The hotel pool offered a tranquil retreat from the bustle of South Beach. The food at the hotel was excellent and we cannot understand why the restaurant was not busier. The Drive Bar next door is noisy, but evening in South Beach is party time! My wife is a light sleeper, but had no difficulty sleeping, and the noise ceased promptly around 11pm while we were there. Other good restaurants and Starbuck's within easy reach. We would definitely stay here again.
