Upon checking into this hotel we had a coach party of 'kids' waiting to check in at reception. Luckily and very kindly a man checked us in to one side. The room was large and spacious, TV, OK bed, Premier Inn type looking place, fridge, no coffee facilities. Had a lovely bathroom with walk in shower. After about an hour we wanted a shower & it was freezing, I was informed as the group had checked in they had used all the water, the next night, same time, luke warm water?? Morning shower was lovely & hot! We spent 2 nights at this hotel and for 2 nights I got about 2 hours sleep! I complained both nights about the 'kids' in the corridor making a LOT of noise but they carried on. The first night they seemed to have a 'watch' as when someone came they all shouted 'scatter'. The second night the porter did nothing from our point of view. The 'party' room was right across from us. As it was spring break you expect a certain amount of noise but not ALL night. There should be someone in charge of these groups. The hotel should have allocated a floor for them as we saw other guests who obviously experienced the same as us. Upon check out at 7am, we had had enough. A random man in reception at the desk asked if we had had a nice time to which we replied no, & couldn't wait to leave because of the noise, the reception staff said nothing! The hotel is a block from Ocean Drive so good location and it had free Wifi. If I was to goto Miami again I wouldn't choose this establishment based on the fact the hotel staff were not sympathetic towards other 'proper' guests. We parked in the car park 2 blocks away at $20, was not offered valet parking at the Kent. (There is a parking lot right next door they charge $20 plus tax but be aware they seem to change the price when they want even though they had a board to display the prices).

Dear Mandy, let me apologize for the issues you encountered, during the month of March and Spring Break in general we do have lots of noise complaints and even though you might feel like there is nothing done we lose large amounts of revenue solely on the guests whom we ask to leave the property after failing to quiet down...the hotel does all it can to minimize this issue but late night party goers usually a little intoxicated do not realize the extent of noise they cause when entering and leaving the property...once again, please accept my sincerest apologies.
