I stayed in a standard Queen bed room facing Collins Avenue.
Clean, minimalist rooms
Low water pressure
"Wet" shower in standard rooms (there's no tub or stall, the drain is in the floor)
Sometimes the design is too minimal (lack of a shelf for your own toiletries or a tissue box in the bathroom)
The noise from Collins Avenue was less of a problem than I imagined. The noise from other hotel guests was another story.
The wooden floors are lovely, but along with the thin walls, you can hear anything your neighbors on all sides and in the hall are doing. Generally I wore earplugs to sleep and this helped. But be forewarned, not only will you hear your neighbors, they will hear you.
So it's a crapshoot. If you have earplugs and relatively quiet neighbors, you'll be fine. I ended up with a romantic couple in the adjacent room. Extremely romantic. Bravo, you two.
If you don't want random hotel guests to know what you sound like when you're having sex, this is not the place to stay. Looking on the bright side, though, it could be just the ticket if you're an exhibitionist or voyeur.
