“Good location close to all action”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

Arrived early the day after Thanksgiving. Room was not ready which was understandable. George at the front desk was very friendly told me to leave my luggage and start to enjoy my mini vacation. They have a complimentary European breakfast which he invited me to. The buffet was good. Not the best but did the job each morning Juice, coffee cereal, fruit. Hard boiled eggs and bagels. It was ok and fresh. Breakfast in Sobe can be expensive especially on ocean drive.

The rooms are just OK. Small but adequate and clean. The hotel is a bit dated but compared to some in Sobe is above average. Its' priced right.

The staff was ok. George goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. George is there days the next shift were ok nothing to write about. Overall if the price is right I would stay again.

Room Tip: i stayed on 2nd floor on the 7 street side. I thought it was quiet but i read someone say it was no...

Cool location. Good male receptionist at desk - He knew everything about everything in terms of nightlife, beach, restaurants. Cool. But the look of the hotel is not the best. The rooms are small. Definitely not enough outlets or space. 4 of us were cramped. Breakfast was mediocre same continental offerings (bagels, toast, cold boiled egg, cereal, juice/coffee, tea) everyday. There are better hotel's than this, I'm sure. Leaving the hotel at night consists of walking through the middle of a restaurant which is awkward. And my friends and I were told to be quiet coming in one night. Definitely would recommend this hotel for the older couple/crowd.

The location was perfect for the night life & Beach. The staff (Jorge) was awesome. He made my trip worth while. Even through we only stayed one night (pre cruise) the experience was great. FYI, Cab to MIA Port was $33. I will definatly be back. The Hotel was a little out dated but its a classic, lots of history was made thru those doors that I never knew. The staff made me feel at home.

This lovely boutique/art deco hotel is a stones throw from the beach. I found it immensely frustrating to valet park, but that's because the street itself is very busy.

Once the parking attendant was able to take out car, we checked in and quickly made it to our 2nd floor room. The rooms were small but functional, with a fridge for my Bud Light Limes :)

The complementary breakfast offered fruit and breads better than most other places, but the woman running it is quite rude and always on her phone. Be sure to get there before 10.30am because as soon as 10.30 hits she puts her phone away and packs everything up!

Definately reccomend this hotel, its right amongst it on the beach and isnt far from better restaurants that don't rip you off along the strip. It is a short walk to most places in Miami Beach, as well as the 7th Street Beach access where I spent most of my time swimming and enjoying the Miami Sun.

Try and bring your own beach towels, as the towels provided by the hotel for beach use are simply white bathroom towels which are quite thin and not suitable for the beach.

Room Tip: Try and obtain a room that faces the ocean, you can at least see/hear the waves through the palm tre...

The hotel staff was amazing and the location on Oceans Drive is perfect. The rooms are extremely small in addition to the restrooms. Do not stay on the second floor, you will hear the kitchen staff and dishes all night. No swimming pool or workout facility available.

Room Tip: Do not choose the second floor.....you will hear the kitchen crew and dishes rattle all night

excellent staff - very friendly and helpful. Great location on south beach at 7th and ocean - a little bit away from the expected noise of the night life and easy few minutes walk down the side walk to restaurants and bars etc... About a 1/2 hour walk to lincoln road shopping. Beach right across the street and the desk will give you beach towels. no room view but expect that as I booked on priceline discount site. room nice and big with high ceilings - art deco but renovated to today's standards. Would stay again and would be very comfortable for longer than our one night stay. Light breakfast was included - fresh pastries etc...I can't say enough about the staff - treated you like family and were just very nice people. was great to experience south beach - wow drinks are huge at every restaurant!

Room Tip: swimming pool at sister hotel only on collins ave (we didn't try it) - ask for room with view an...

Our next stay in South Beach will be at Avalon, perfect location on Ocean Drive and Art Deco district. Great seafood restaurant which possibly is one of the few not trying to rip you off on Ocean Drive. Staff was very helpful to find good alternative restaurants.

Room Tip: Ocean Drive is obviously a big party all night - pick a room on the back of the hotel if full night...
