“Very good breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

I chose this place based on recommendation of hotel front desk personnel and its location just across the street. It appeared to be locals rather than tourists eating here which is always a good sign. Breakfast two eggs, potato, 5 slices of bacon, big glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee was $10.66. Service was good and I may go back for dinner. If you are near then try this restaurant.

“great medianoche (midnight sandwich)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

went here for lunch with my sister, nice atmosphere and great midnight sandwich for less than $6, we also had the roasted vegetables, and they were quite bland, and seemed more like boiled than roasted, but overall i think it's worth a visit

“Flan over pound cake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012 via mobile

...is my new favorite dessert. I ate here twice today (its right across from the hotel, and is yummy) my first meal was the appetizer mixed plate. The piccadillo stuffed tostones were great, the pork chunks were outstanding, the potato croquettes pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the tamal, but that is my own preference. The fresh squeezed juice also excellent. Second was Cuban coffee with Flan made with pound cake -oh my gosh yum. Overall a solid place. Not your Cuban neighbor's cooking, but a fair representation of the cuisine and tasty treat

“You need to eat here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

My friends and I were referred to this restaurant because we stayed at the hotel across the street before leaving on a cruise. I thought I had eaten Cuban food before but this is the real deal! I think we ended up eating three of our meals here before we left for our cruise. The pork sandwiches, empanada's, fried plantains were amazing and I loved the Cuban coffee. I didn't try it but they also serve freshly squeezed sugar cane juice and you can watch them extract it in a huge machine by the counter. I hope we make it back to Miami someday and we will definitely eat here again.
