We had to book this hotel very last minute and were a bit nervous. We were completely surprised when we arrived and discovered our room. The prices are awesome for this hotel. Room Tip: We had the King bed deluxe suite. If you want a view make sure you ask for one. Our room overlooke...

Dear tcofra,
What a pleasure to read such a nice review! In our industry, nothing makes us happier that hearing that we have left our guests speechless in a positive way. We can understand how making a last minute booking could cause a bit of anxiety. However, we couldn’t be happier that the anxiety was left behind once you entered your suite. We also want to thank you for extending yourself to leaving a favorable comment on our corporate website. We can honestly say that guests like you make the job of hospitality very rewarding. We hope you have a chance to visit us in the future on a planned vacation. Once again, thank you!!

“Great Hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

The hotel was perfect for a vacation with a 2 year old. Close to parks where the parents colud run, close to playgrounds where the baby could play and a nice little shopping centre within walking distance. The neighbourhood felt very safe even after dark. The flat was big, modern, comfortable, new, clean and well equiped. We vere lucky to have a big balcony with a view. The pool at the hotel was clean and warm.

“Hospitality’s Finest!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

I have to admit that I have yet to find a hotel in Miami that offered everything on my wish list, that is until I found the Mutiny Hotel. The rooms are spacious, modern, and well equipped. The staff from the valet to the front desk could not have been more attentive and hospitable. The location is to die for! There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. Cocowalk was great for nightlife and shopping. I can’t wait to plan my next trip!

“Great location, very good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

The location of this hotel is perfect! It is right across the Marina (and if you are lucky, you will get a room with a view). There are many nice places to eat within walking distance, we quite enjoyed the Indian food at Bombay Darbar, and also a nice sandwich and juice place closeby. Coco Walk is about 10 minutes walk and if you have toddlers that you would like to occupy, there is a library right next door. Don't forget to check out the Fresk Market which is like a Whole Foods store but has very good fruits and food stations.
We had two suites on the 7th floor. They were both nice and clean. One thing you have to be careful about are the dishes, they are not always very clean. I always washed them before first use. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and kitchen were clean and there is plenty of closet space. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Valet parking is $25 a day. We didn't eat at the Hotel Restaurant so cannot comment on that, but overall, we would definitely stay there again.
By the way, be sure to check out the hotel website for specials. We got a very reasonable rate for 4 nights at 20% off, which was cheaper that Expedia and other travel websites. And ask for a room on the higher floor, they aer very accomodating if the rooms are available.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher room. If you want to be specific, you can say that you don't want anything faci...

Dear suburb123,
We would like to thank you for taking the time to review The Mutiny Hotel. There are several hotels in the area that you could choose from and I am glad your decision to choose our turned out to be a good one. The Coconut Grove area offers a unique blend of culture and cuisine. We are glad you were able to enjoy this side of the Greater Miami area. I would like to offer our sincerest apology for, what appears to be, a shortcoming in our housekeeping department. Having a full sized and fully stocked kitchen means our cleaning process is more detailed than a hotel that does not have these amenities. Our housekeeping staff has been made aware of your concerns so we may implement procedures to learn from these shortcomings. Learning and correcting our mistakes is vital in improving the service of our hotel. Our goal is to be everyone’s hotel choice when visiting the Coconut Grove area. With your positive review it is clear we are on our way. We hope to see you soon and next time we would love for you and your party to take advantage of our delicious Thai cuisine restaurant.

“Wonderful service and perfect location in the Grove”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

We just returned from our fifth trip to Coconut Grove/Miami, and our first time staying at the Mutiny. It was everything we hoped for and more! In the past, we've stayed for more than a week and so rented a small apartment, but this visit was just a few days so we opted for the hotel experience. While the Mutiny was a little more than what we would usually spend, it was so worth it in so very many ways.

First of all, service when booking was superb. Melody at the front desk explained all of the options to me as well as the various prices, and was tremendously helpful when I mentioned that this was our first visit to Miami in some time so we were hoping for a room with a lovely view. She recommended calling the morning we were to check in, when they assign the rooms, and she also put a note on our reservation so they would take my request into consideration.

When we arrived, the valet took our car quickly along with our name, and reported on his headset that we were checking in. This meant that the front desk was prepared for us as soon as we walked in the door, which was terrific. The check-in process was very quick as we had prepaid one night, and within minutes we were in our room. It was beautiful! The floors were all tile, which made the room feel cool and airy. When I had made the reservation, Melody had asked which temperature we would like the room to be upon arrival, and it was perfect. She had also asked which type of pillow we preferred, which I thought was a nice touch. We had a deluxe one bedroom, with a very comfortable king-size bed and a balcony. The view was great! Although technically a partial view (all the full views are from the two-bedroom suites in the front of the building), we could see the marina and a good deal of the bay, and even the Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables if we leaned out and looked in the other direction!

Everyone at the hotel was so friendly. Our housekeeper, Mayra, was delightful and arranged our daughter's stuffed animals in a different way every day. The last day, she left her a box of pear juice, which was very thoughtful. The front desk staff were helpful whenever we called with any question. Humberto in particular was very kind when I was on a quest for coffee filters. The full kitchen was outfitted with pots, knives, and a cutting board - we could have made a full meal if I had been inclined to cook. :) The valet parking was very efficient and reasonably priced - it made us feel a bit like royalty, too, and had it rained during our visit it would have been even more convenient.

Our last night, we ordered room service from Atchana's Kitchen, which was very tasty. The food arrived quickly and hot, the gentleman who delivered it set everything up at our dining table, and when we were finished they picked up the dishes quickly as well.

The location is perfect - a five minute (if that) walk to everything Coconut Grove has to offer, directly across the street from Peacock Park and the water. The pool area is beautiful and serene. If my husband and I had not had our daughter with us, we definitely would have had a drink one night by the pool, with the fairy lights lit and the waterfall running! As it was, we enjoyed a glass of wine on our balcony with our lovely view, and counted ourselves very, very fortunate to be staying at the Mutiny. We hope to stay there again next year!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor. "Partial" bay view rooms still have a wonderful view, an...
