“Dive in and enjoy the water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

I stayed at the hotel for a week during a recent business trip. After working outdoors all day it was so wonderful to come back to the hotel and be able to hop into the pool and hot tub. I understand that the pool has recently been heated. I have been in several hotels in Miami in December and January and none of the pools are heated and the water is super cold. The Mutiny pool area is very secluded and quite charming and you are very close to the bar.

Room Tip: Ask to be on an upper floor near the front of the hotel especially if you like sleeping with the win...

“Helpful staff at the Mutiny”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

During a recent stay I arrived early and was assisted by Matt at the front desk who got me checked in early! He did it without hesitation or question. The concierge Kahlil(sp) was great with finding me transportation to the wedding I was going to. The rest of the staff was very nice as expected, not even an issue with valet.

Rooms are converted apartments so lots of space with a full kitchen. As much as I dislike Miami the mutiny provided me with an escape from the hectic Miami ways.

“what a breath of fresh air!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

I have recently stayed at the Mutiny in Nov '12 and Jan '13. Both of my stays were short, but that didn't stop the staff from learning and using my name as we passed through the lobby. The staff was prompt and courteous, offering directions and information as requested. The Concierge Karel, was extremely accommodating and ensured that my birthday stay was memorable.

As a traveler of many Condo/Hotels, I always recommend speaking with a guest service agent at the location about your room preferences so they may best meet your expectations.

The Mutiny was able to not only manage my expectations but surpass them and I will be traveling here for all of my trips to Miami.

The city sounds disappear at the higher floors and you can smell the fresh air coming off the bay with the evening sea breeze. Truly Tranquil!

“Exceeded our expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

For us, Coconut Grove was a great location to stay during our Miami trip. We were able to sail on Biscayne Bay from a pier steps from the hotel, visit the fabulous Fairchild Botanical Gardens without costing a fortune in taxi fare, and wander though the village in the evening enjoying the cafe scene. We loved our day on Miami Beach but would not have wanted to stay there - too many people, too much noise. Our suite at the Mutiny was great - very clean, well laid out, and comfortable, including a full kitchen, washer/dryer, living/dining room, king bed, robes etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Public areas attractive and spotless. Lovely pool in a lush garden. Tip: For a fantastic view of the Bay & sunset, go for poolside drinks at the Sonesta Hotel next door & bring your bathing suit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room above 4th floor. Ask for pool or bayview

“Great service & location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

On a recent trip to Miami, we were limited in hotel availability and the Mutiny was one of the few hotels available. Due to the mixed reviews on trip advisor I was expecting a lot less than what the Mutiny offered. The service from the front desk was very good, after check in they even called up to the room to check if everything was OK. The location is perfect, with a short walk into Coconut Grove, and the Coco Walk shopping complex. The room at Mutiny was large and more than we needed for a 1 night stay. The hotel is older, but the room we were in was well kept. The room was not absolutely spotless and showed a little wear and tear, but nothing seemed to be broken as some of the other reviewers suggest. We did not notice any problem with noise. We enjoyed our stay at the Mutiny and was hoping to stay again on our return to Miami, but it was unfortunately fully booked.
