“Convenient location”

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel for the last six years during the Sony tennis tournament. We particularly appreciate the fridge in our room because we like to take a quick breakfast early in the morning and share a glass of wine in the evening, after we return from our shifts. Provisions available at a CWS close by. The beds are comfortable and the room is always well serviced by the housecleaning crew. Convenient parking in the adjoining building at $18 per day. Climate control is an issue……..the air conditioners are noisy and it's difficult maintaining a consistent, comfortable temperature. There used to be free coffee available in the lobby area, in the mornings, but, now, you have to line up at the counter (which can take 5 minutes or more at 9.00am). I've always enjoyed the huge aquarium of saltwater fish in the lobby area. The reception staff are personable and helpful. Try to avoid all hotels in this area at the end of March when the downtown musical festival is on…..very noisy if you want to get some sleep.

I stayed here for a business trip. Be warned ... GPS had me turning left in front of the hotel, but you actully need to go straight through the light. I called the hotel to get directions and they were far from helpful. That was disappointing.

The room was nice and the bed was great. The room was very, very clean and I didn't have any issues with the wifi. The bathroom, on the other hand, was really small and had NO counter space. I ended up having to get ready at the desk. That was a bummer.

The elevators in this hotel are horribly slow in the morning hours. It feels like you are waiting around forever. They really need to do something about that.

The gym was nice {2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals and weights}. It was really clean and I was always able to get on a treadmill when needed. The pool was on the same floor as the gym (7, I think).

There's lots of construction going on downtown and you can hear it. No fault of the hotel's, but something to keep in mind.

I'd likely stay here again. The value was there, it was clean and I love Marriott's.

Business trip. Great location, very spotty internet in room (I kept getting bounced off), in room a/c could not be adjusted so I turned it off, and construction across the street that went on until 10:30 PM (they turned on lights to work in the dark). To top it all off, it rained all trip:).

We stayed at this Courtyard Marriott the night before we left on a cruise out of the Port of Miami. I had researched hotels on Trip Advisor and Cruise Critic to find the best location and price. While the hotel itself is fairly nondescript (the rooms could use updating), it has restaurants and stores (CVS) nearby and was within walking distance of the Bayside shops. We paid about $250 for the room (king bed, non-smoking), purchased breakfast in the nicely decorated restaurant in the lobby, and used the services of the concierge. Regarding the latter, the concierge recommended a restaurant for dinner (Vero - a nearby Italian restaurant with great authentic Italian food but no ambience), and he took our reservation for the hotel shuttle the next day to the port. This shuttle was the best part of the deal. The cost was only $5 per person, and the it included a van for passengers with a cargo trailer for luggage. The shuttle leaves every half hour between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. We took the 11:30 AM shuttle, and it worked out great!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the parking lot. Ask for a room the looks out the front of the building.

We stayed 2 nights at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown/Brickell on Feb 13-15/14. Orginally we planned to stay only 1 night at the hotel but 4 weeks prior decided to stay an extra night and made the reservation for the additional night. Upon check in it was explained that we would be staying 2 nights and check in staff given 2 reservation numbers. ......all seemed simple and credit card was taken for payment coverage. At 11 am the next morning, we received a phone call from the front desk that we would have to vacate room/ check out as the hotel had no vacancy that night and they needed to clean room. I reminded staff on phone that we had a 2 night stay and that staff upon check in understood this and assured us we would be in same room. When they examine file they say yes indeed it was overlooked and we could stay the night in another room and that we had to physically check out and then check back in.....supplying credit card again. While trying to work the situation out over the phone, the house keeping manager knock on the door and told us we had to leave room ASAP as they had to clean it for arriving clients. After a 5 minute phone conversation and things seemingly not being understood I had to leave my room and go to front desk with my credit card and check out and check back into SAME room...Yes same room....I would not believe it if someone told me but it happened to me!!! Stafff were very freindly but did not see the problem with me having to physically check out and back in at front desk at 1115 am in my pjs. The hotel manager is amazing and has the people skills to deal with problems......a plus for MARRIOTT.



Hotel was clean but definitely over priced. We were lucky to get a room away from constuction but other clients complained of the noice and found it disturbing.



Reward promotion: My Partner was a new rewards members and thus we used his rewards number to get benfit of the stay 2 night get one night free promotion......however after staying it was impossible for the rewards center to give us the rewward offered. I called several times about the matter and the reward off could not be applied/received..despite the cliam made on check in and assurrrance. The reward center was impossible to deal with and was road block after road block ( As blog online stated that it was near impossible to recieve the reward and the reward center offer was a sham.) While 2 service people seemingly tried to apply the reward nothing could be done.....the trird attempt at receiving the reward resulted in verbal abuse from the male and got very heated. He was verbally insulting and attached my character. He was loud, abnoxious and questioned why I would want the reward applied to my same sex partner's reward number..His tone was degrading and I felt belittled by the interaction. HE kept me on the phone for 55 minutes, the majority of the time was on hold as he refused to let me speak to someone else.

Room Tip: Kepp away from construction site area and go to higher floor awy from construction in front of build...

We booked this room last minute, after deciding on a cruise. This hotel was not part of the cruise package, as we booked too late. When we checked in, we told them we were going on a cruise the next morning and the check in person immediately asked her assistant to give us printed directions to the port and offered to give us a wake up call. The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and valet parking for downtown Miami was great. A plus was that we forgot allergy medicine and the hotel staff gave us directions to a CVS in walking distance from the hotel,

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous and pointed us to a local Brazilian steakhouse, where we proceeded to stuff ourselves! I would recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place to get some rest before your cruise. It's location is not very convenient to the South Beach Area, or any of Miami's renowned nightlife.
