I stayed here two nights 16 - 18 January 2014. Check in was efficient and when she realised I was alone changed me from a twin to king size room as it would 'be more comfortable'. It had a stunning view of the multi story car par park opposite. The room was a fair size, but very dark. There were only 3 table lamps to light the whole room. The bed was comfortable and the air con seemed to be efficient enough. There was a coffee maker maker in the room with a broken lid, but this was replaced the next morning, unbidden. A large flat screen tv, but only one arm chair which sat in the window bay and faced the room not the tv. Why do hotels insist on one arm chair for a double room?
The bathroom was quite large with a freezing cold floor. The sink area was quite small and two people would have had great difficulty putting their stuff on what little surface area there was. It did have storage space underneath for wash bags though. There were two glasses in sealed plastic bags and one of them had a large V shaped break in it. The hot water was very hot indeed and the water seeped away, even with the plug pressed down as firmly as possible. The shower was fine, but only soap and no shower gel was provided.
Breakfast wasn't included, but I ate in the Bistro on the first morning and the food was ok and seemed reasonably priced for a hotel.
The room bill was slipped under the door on my last morning and had already been deducted from my credit card. There was a phantom restaurant charge from my first night, which they said would be refunded, without any hesitation. As I'm currently travelling for six weeks, it will be a while before I know if it has been refunded.
The location is ok, close to the Bayfront and downtown shops. However if I was staying in town for more than a couple of days, I'd probably opt for a hotel on Miami Beach. I'm uploading this on their wifi.
