“A Very Good Choice In Downtown Area”

Due to the many one-way streets in Miami, I found the hotel a little hard to find the first time but it was worth the effort. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with a desk, TV and an arm chair. Let's not forget the refrigerator and free internet too. Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Hard to beat.

It's only a short walk 10 minute to the shopping mall near the water where you can catch one of the sightseeing boats. Parking is in a garage connected to the hotel. They give you a card to enter/exit the garage. I suggest parking on the 2nd floor since there is a direct entrance into the hotel using your room key.

One drawback is the lack of a real restaurant but there are some nearby. The breakfast served at the bistro in the lobby offers few choices.

I enjoyed my stay. I will stay there again if I return to Miami.

Room Tip: In any hotel, I always like a high floor since you miss the lobby noise . . . . . and request a room...

I stayed here two nights 16 - 18 January 2014. Check in was efficient and when she realised I was alone changed me from a twin to king size room as it would 'be more comfortable'. It had a stunning view of the multi story car par park opposite. The room was a fair size, but very dark. There were only 3 table lamps to light the whole room. The bed was comfortable and the air con seemed to be efficient enough. There was a coffee maker maker in the room with a broken lid, but this was replaced the next morning, unbidden. A large flat screen tv, but only one arm chair which sat in the window bay and faced the room not the tv. Why do hotels insist on one arm chair for a double room?

The bathroom was quite large with a freezing cold floor. The sink area was quite small and two people would have had great difficulty putting their stuff on what little surface area there was. It did have storage space underneath for wash bags though. There were two glasses in sealed plastic bags and one of them had a large V shaped break in it. The hot water was very hot indeed and the water seeped away, even with the plug pressed down as firmly as possible. The shower was fine, but only soap and no shower gel was provided.

Breakfast wasn't included, but I ate in the Bistro on the first morning and the food was ok and seemed reasonably priced for a hotel.

The room bill was slipped under the door on my last morning and had already been deducted from my credit card. There was a phantom restaurant charge from my first night, which they said would be refunded, without any hesitation. As I'm currently travelling for six weeks, it will be a while before I know if it has been refunded.

The location is ok, close to the Bayfront and downtown shops. However if I was staying in town for more than a couple of days, I'd probably opt for a hotel on Miami Beach. I'm uploading this on their wifi.

Just checked in and must say that Fernando Arias at the desk and Giovonni Monsanto the Concierge were exceedingly helpful to a tired
traveler.

The hotel is clean and bright and meets our needs as a stop before our cruise.

We are Marriott Platinum life and it never ceases to amaze me that Marriott is able to
inculcate their culture at all levels of the brand from the Marriott Champs Élysées where we stayed last year to the Town Place Suite in Jacksonville NC where
which I frequent for work.

We are in this hotel for only one night otherwise I would not have stayed. It has a smelly, noisy heating system which had to be turned off; anaglypta on the walls that looks like it has been glued on, a horrible nylon carpet and the walls are paper thin you can hear every sound. It looks clean, but the sheets are so creased they look like they've just been taken off the washing line! I know they must have people only staying for very short stays here, but it would look and feel so much better with freshly papered/painted walls and ironed sheets.

On the plus side the staff seem very nice.

We stayed here for one night before a cruise. We checking in early and our room was ready. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was large enough and clean. We did have a issue with loud kids in the room next to us late at night. We called the front desk and they took care of it. We did have to call down twice for ice before we did receive it. Nice pool and gym. Starbucks in the lobby. Large nice fish tank in the lobby also. You can walk a few blocks to Bayside. CVS one block away. I would stay here again.

Good size, clean room. 5-6 blocks from Bayside and easy walk to riverwalk. Comfy beds, plenty of pillows, frig for drinks/snacks, free WiFi, Paul Mitchell hair products , ac quiet, port on bed table for 4 devices to charge, appreciated doors to rooms shut gently, not the loud slamming that you hear at some hotels

The negatives: carpet tired (brown & gold stripes) and in need of replacing, poor outdated lighting in room, bathroom had old style tube fluorescent light, bathroom fan didn’t work - made sound but never cleared mirror of fog, furniture clean but clunky & a little institutional looking, hotel’s main entrance very dreary - through parking garage, no entrance from street
As suggested by another poster (thanks!) had breakfast at Café Bastille which is only one block away and has terrific eggs benedict.

I had been dropped off at this hotel on accident by a cab from a tri rail and as I waited for a ride to my correct hotel I had observed there performance of one of the front desk workers. I travel a lot and also work for a hotel chain so for someone to stand out to me they must be spectacular.
The young man at the desk, Fernando, was in high spirits the whole time, helping everyone that walked through the door no matter if they asked for entertainment suggestions, accommodations, or just coffee. He was the hotel super hero. I hope everyone that stays in this hotel has the pleasure of getting to meet him as he seems to be miami's go to man. This hotel should be very grateful for him and his impressive customer service!
