“Very Convenient”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

The Hotel is right in the middle of the Airport,so very easy to get to after a long flight . Check in was not very good and the staff not friendly .The keys did not work to our room .Housekeeping had to let us in .Other people were at the desk getting new keys, when I went to get my keys replaced. The staff said please post this online or email as it is an ongoing problem. The room is very basic and small but very quite .We tried the restaurant, good service and food .

Dear perryb6,

Thank you for staying at the Miami International Airport Hotel. I would first like to apologize for the inconvenience you encountered while staying with us. I will be addressing key issues with my maintenance staff. I will also be addressing your mention of our front desk employee to my front desk manager that is not the proper response to a guest; it is not what we are trained to do.

Our hotel is currently under renovation, we have many new and exciting changes soon to be revealed, and we hope you give us another opportunity in the future to experience the changes.

Once again, I apologize.

Thank you,

Good hotel with very good staff for a short stay only. I stayed at this hotel with my family this year, we had a problem with noise and they moved us including clothes to another room with no problem. The rooms are of a good size, we had a suite because of the kids, I would recommend this, not that more of a cost.

Room Tip: If you use this as a base for onward travel, make sure your traveling first class/elite ad all your...

Convenient but pricey. Long lines at the desk. But then again very convenient, being right at the airport. No late night restaurants open in the area except the hotel bar. Good rooms, no free wifi. Not noisy, even though planes land overhead.

PROS: Well, it is an airport hotel, so it fulfills its goal that is to accommodate you for a layover. If you expected more than that, don´t. It has a comfortable bed, amenities, and very good sound insulation. The size of the room is quite good for an airport hotel. It is located in the E concourse, right in the middle of the other airport concourses, which facilitate the transfer inside. Good cleaning condition.

CONS: It has carpet, which is bad for allergic people. No free wi-fi (you use the same network of MIA airport, so it is paid separately). Overall, it has an awful value for money since breakfast if not included in the fare (although there are lots of restaurants in the airport for that). Anyway, it is the price you pay to be conveniently located in the front of the airline counter.

Very poor guest experience. The hotel takes its location for granted and generally provides its customers with inferior service; employees take the custom for granted! Unless it is a very short overnight stay, I recommend you try nearby hotels outside the airport such as the Airport Hilton or the Marriott, both of which are vastly better.

My flight arrived in Miami at 11 PM, so it was quite nice to check in to my room a few minutes after landing. You cannot beat the location. Awesome. The only down side is that the hotel is getting a bit run down and needs to be freshened up a bit. It is looking a bit tired. I think the people that own this hotel know they have a great location, so they just refuse to spend any money on this place. So if you don't mind a worn down hotel, you can't beat the location.
