We weren't as impressed as we expected to be with such a highly ranked hotel. That said, it was "nice enough" overall as it was clean, comfortable and stylish.

Our stay got off to a rocky start when we had to wait over 45 minutes on the free airport shuttle that was suppose to arrive every 15 minutes. My husband called after waiting 30 minutes at the airport and was told the shuttle would arrive in 15 minutes. Since they were suppose to arrive in 15 minute intervals, we took that to mean they didn't even send the shuttle until we called about it.

When the shuttle did arrive (20 minutes later) the shuttle driver apologetically told us the van was full but there would be another sent immediately. We didn't wait on that one, but hired a taxi instead. (The airport shuttle was just leaving the hotel as we arrived.) The manager said he would send a complimentary coupon for the dining room to us as compensation but instead, we received a "one free drink" coupon. Odd, since there were two of us! Oh well ...

We were awakened several times during the night by noise in the hallway outside our room and that was a bit surprising.

I gave the hotel a "Very Good" rating because of two employees in particular, Horatio and Frank. Both of them went above the call of duty in making our stay enjoyable. They were friendly and exceptionally helpful. They pretty much "saved the stay" for us. Thanks Guys!

We stayed her for one night prior to our cruise and returned after the cruise as well since we had pre paid. Arriving was a hassle as far as a pickup to the hotel. Very crowded outside of airport and hotel said the shuttle drives by every 40 minutes. Well it was in the farthest lane from the pickup area and just sped by, didn't even look for anyone. Had to call and they said they would send one. Yah 45 minutes later and we had to run after it to catch it. They need to have a more specific place to stop they just say 2nd level. Once we arrived we were early so spent time at the pool.
Checked in, accommodations could use an update as does the whole hotel. Does not come close to the Sofitel in Minneapolis. Thought we were at a Best Western.

Dining is very limited, menu is small, Sunday buffet just typical breakfast scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, French toast (pre-made). No stations for eggs, no carving station, etc. Very simple for $25 per person. Expensive to stay. $500 for two nights, 3 Sunday brunch, a couple of drinks and appetizers.

Our driver to dinner was great and prompt I believe his name was Michael. Jerry was also very helpful with reservations for dinner.

Will stay elsewhere next time around. Only chose this since NCL uses this as one of their properties pre and post cruise.

We had a day room (9am-5pm) booked here for after our cruise. Couldn't have chosen better. Gorgeous decor, exquisitely comfortable duvets & beds, and a beautiful, relaxing pool. Room service had extensive food selections and orders were delivered promptly. Complimentary bottle of water per person on bedside tables. Having stayed at the Sheraton Airport hotel on arrival in Miami, I only wish we had picked this hotel instead. Look forward to spending a full vacation here in future.

This is a good choice for a night before or after a flight. The hotel shuttle picked me up at the airport, although I had to wait for it for about 40 minutes. The room was certainly clean and comfortable but it was not at all as nice as the Sofitel London Airport I stayed at several years ago. I had selected a morning flight to arrive early and relax by the pool. However, I was very disappointed to see that the pool had been drained. If I had known that, I probably would have stayed elsewhere. The mojito at the bar and dinner at the restaurant were good but pricey. My favorite thing was the French bathroom amenities! Overall, I had a comfortable, quiet, and restful night before my connecting flight the next morning.

Sofitel is always a good choice to any person looking for deluxe standards. Sofitel Miami, 5 minutes from Miami International Airport is located in a safe neighborhood, in a good commercial area. Besides Sofitel's high quality profile, professional and courteous staff and a closed parking area, rooms are large, extremely clean with all amenities one can expect including LANVIN products in the bathroom. Silence, comfort, outstanding bed and linen in a room with a fabulous view. Always Sofitel.

We stayed at the hotel overnight as it was very close to the airport.
The hotel offer a shuttle service which was great for our party of 6.
We arrived in the evening, bar and lounge area had lovely atmosphere candles lit.
We found all the staff were pleasent and helpful from the porter,reception to the bar and restaurant staff.
We had dinner in the restaurant limited vegetarian chose but breakfast was better.
We didn't use the spa hence average score.

Room Tip: When we arrived we could hear aircraft noises however slept well and heard nothing all night.
