This hotel is located close to Miami airport, shuttle goes every 30 minutes. I have stayed in the hotel several times in past years and it is always my choice when I need hotel at the airport for a night or two. The first surprise is at welcome when receptionist approach you in French. They are fluent in English and Spanish, of course, but that touch shows that hotel is different to other hotels in the neighborhood. Lobby and restaurant/bar area is design in traditional style with French touch, very nice. Rooms are very clean, beds are good, sleeping quality high level. Bathroom standard, American type of shower, clean. For the aircraft spotters, nice view on the runway of MIA airport, sound isolation is very good. The service is almost perfect, if you have any problem with services like household, the reception will solve it immediately. Food in the restaurant is nice, breakfast is good. In fact you can get probably whatever you want, but buffet offer is limited, you need to order, what is typical for higher class hotels, but my personal preference is larger buffet. All in all, nice place, I will come back.

We stayed one night prior to a cruise. Great, convenient location to airport. Easy and well-priced shuttle to the port.

The room was very clean and comfortable with an excellent bed.

The common areas and hallways are in need of updating or renovation. The hotel has an overall "old" look and feeling to it.

The quality of the food in the restaurant was lacking for both dinner and breakfast. Undercooked steak (ordered medium but served rare) was thrown back on the fire and heated to well done, then served back to me. The servers and hosts need better training and attention to detail. I watched the entire staff walking over a couple of pieces of trash for 15 minutes, which someone finally picked up after I asked them to.

We have stayed in Sofitels in Beverly Hills, Chicago, New York, and Washington DC. All are luxurious hotels for a reasonable price and the restaurants are top notch with exceptional food and service. Miami needs to up their game!

We stayed here only for a day after our caribean cruise and before evening flight back to Europe. The hotel is nicely decorated and has an impressive lounge/bar area next to pool. Pool area was nice with extremely comfortable loungers and a relatively large pool but with very cold water. Bar prices were high but restaurant was reasonably priced. Service was very good and complimentary transportation to the airport a big plus. Room itself was of good US standard, clean and spacious. There was a nice view from our 12th floor room. Would definetly select this hotel again for a short break before or after flight.

Everything is right about the Sofitel. The food, the bar and the spacious rooms. And the French flair. We stayed four nights and everything seemed to fit and this is a rare atmosphere in a hotel of this size. Our new favorite hotel in Miami.
