There is definitely nothing spectacular about this hotel.
The rooms and decor are dated, but the room we had was very spacious and had a view overlooking the golf-course, which was lovely. The rooms were clean and the bed was surprisingly very comfortable.
The location of this hotel is great. Easy access to highways, the airport, etc.
For the size and comfort of the room and location I would give those a 5..everything else-not so much.
During our 5 day stay-only 1 elevator was working out of the 3 they had. There was no urgency on the staff or management's part to get it fixed. The wait times were between 10-17mins. Everyone was jammed packed on the elevators to avoid wait times. There was never a sign put on the elevators that weren't working and there definitely wasn't a "sorry for the inconvenience" sign put up. Even the central staircase wasn't a great option because it was located in the "employee only" section and wasn't even marked as a staircase. We just happened to try it going down from our 9th floor room and it took us to through the worker's area.
Lastly, as part of my package rate, free parking and breakfast was included. As others mentioned, we had to go request the vouchers for breakfast-they were not provided at check-in, nor was it even mentioned that this was a part of my rate. I think they purposely do that to save the money. I had to go request them and finally got them. I asked about the parking every day and it was not resolved until check-out, when it showed up on my folio and I had to go have them remove it. This, too, was never brought up during check-in-I had to go ask. I think this was another thing that was purposely done so that I would have to pay the daily parking rate.
The staff knows what is included when people check-in so I don't know if they are taught not to include these things until asked or if the staff needs additional training.
To me, these 2 things- the elevator service and service of the staff was totally unacceptable, especially when there wasn't any acknowledgement by management on any of this.
I have stayed in plenty of Starwood Hotels before as an SPG member and have not had any issues like this, so I am not sure if it is just this hotel or what. Definitely will stay somewhere else on my next visit.
Golf-course view is great.
