“Hilton Miami Airport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

I have stayed at the Hilton Miami Airport several times and every time I am in the area, I stay there due to the friendly staff, nice facility and convenient to the airport. They have done a nice job in updating the property, the rooms are nice and the restaurant also has good food! They are in the process of updating the lobby bar, so that will make it a nice place to relax! I would highly recommend this property to anyone who comes to Miami often.

Attended a three day conference here. In general facilities were good and the standard of catering was excellent. Great service from the Hotel Shuttle.
It is an airport hotel, so some noise is expected. The airport didn't seem to use the runway on the hotel side except for what seemed to a regular service at 04:00!
The buffet breakfast was excellent and the omelet chef comes in for particular praise.
The only real criticism was of the pool bar. The main hotel bar was being refurbished, so we tended to use the pool bar. The bar had a VERY smelly waste bin, which really detracted from the bar experience. Despite numerous comments from multiple members of our group, nothing was done. How much effort does it take to scrub out and disinfect a bin?

It is a fair way from the South Beach area with a cab costing $40 each way.

I stayed here for one night last week while traveling on business at the Miami Airport area..

The hotel is located within the Blue Lagoon area...

Had a room with a balcony facing the airport so was great for me, since I love the planes and taking photos..

Hotel has a nice pool area and fitness center and has a walking trail that goes around the hotel as well...

Restaurant was extermely busy that morning, waiting almost 15 minutes to be seated, food was good.

Parking is $15.00 a night, which is fair, however there is ample space to park here...

Hotel has an airport shuttle for those wanting to go to/from airport...

Downtown & Beach area is a 10-15 minute drive when not in traffic time or longer outside of those times...

Didn't have a chance to experience the service of the staff, since I only dealt with really three people the whole time I was there...

Would probably return next time..
Would probably return again...

Stayed for several days for a meeting. Nice location, service in the breakfast area was a bit slow. Great break goodies (i.e., cookies, ice cream). Great place for a meeting. Hotel rooms were average. The bummer was the cost for parking -- $15.00 per day.

My husband and I are newlyweds celebrating our honeymoon. Upon check in, the Manager of the front desk, took it upon himself to upgrade us to a suite in honor of our celebration. We thought this to be so special enough yet he also provided us with breakfast passes on them for the morning. We are just passing through for the night before heading to the Keys but I must say, after a day of exhausting travel, Sandos and his staff made us feel on top of the world. The suite is spacious and very clean.

Stayed here after a series of missed and detailed flights at the airport so was a last minute emergency stay. Arrived in the very early hours, and checked in with no problems. Breakfast in the morning was not so great for sure not the best ever food tasted like it had sat there for quite a while and th coffee was pretty rubbish. The rooms are all renovated and quite nice for an airport hotel. The biggest negative though is a total lack of accessible plug sockets in the room! Struggled to find a single one

I stayed in the Hilton for one night in January 2013 and will definitely return when traveling to Miami (airport) for business.

The reliable service begins with the free courtesy bus pick up outside the second floor - the trip takes approximately 10 minutes to the hotel.
My check in was professional and seamless and quick which is exactly what you need after traveling.
The room was very clean and spacious and overlooked the Lagoon (although it was close to the elevator so quite noisy).
The bathroom was well stocked and very clean while the working area/desk was efficient but would recommend some additional plug points.

My only fault during my stay was the length of time it took to get through to room service - approximately 2-3 minutes - way too long although the staff were great on the phone and in person but it should be much quicker to order food to your room.

Breakfast is well run (either in the lobby or the restaurant) with a wide variety of food and drink to choose from.

Overall it's worth considering this hotel when you need to stay in the vicinity of Miami airport.

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking the Lagoon and away from the elevator
