“VALUE PLUS !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2009

Shuttle from the airport to the motel was slow, but the rest was worth it. Very clean, roomy and accomodating. Excellant staff and service. Restaurant was pricey, however, the quailty of the steaks were top shelf and you get what you pay for. On the neg. side, stingy on the side dishes and the staff needs more training. Business was slow and the staff was slower. Had to ask for water and silverware, and she only brought one water. No rolls or bread were available with the meals. As for the continental breakfast, it was great. Sure it was crowded, but what can one expect when it is free. See you next trip to Miami. Mr. & Mrs. E. Brown

Hi everyone

We stayed at the Embassy Suites for 1 night on Tuesday 29th September with my husband and son aged 2.

We were dropped at the hotel with the free shuttle bus provided by the hotel, the guy who drived the bus said he would give us a card for 15% off the restaurant at the hotel, but once we arrived he never did, strange.

Anyway we get checked in and head to our room, we had 4 cases, 2 backpacks, a trunki and our 2 year old! Yeah we travel light, we get to the room and the key does not let us in, we tried a few times until a handyman came to the room and asked why we wanted in there, I said thats the room we have been allocated, but they gave us the wrong room instead, so more waiting about and we were given the right room! Its not a major deal just wanted to mention that.

The room was great, very spacious, had a seperate living room with tv and bedroom with tv.

We head straight downstairs for the reception cocktails from 5.30pm - 7.30pm. The lady behind the bar was amazing, very polite and friendly. We would leave a tip in the glass at the bar for her as she worked really hard for the 2 hours. I had vodka and orange, my husband had beer. Other people were having cocktails, wine, you name it it was there, ok the vodka was Gordon's vodka which I havn't heard of in Scotland but it tasted great. There was free popcorn and pretzels where you could help yourself.

We headed back to our room for an early night to prepare for our flight home after a great time in Miami South Beach, cruising on Liberty and then the Florida Keys, so this hotel was a happy ending to our vacation.

In the morning we headed down for our cooked breakfast, the lady took ages to make my eggs sunny side up, when she gave me them she said sorry and said if I wanted to wait for another one, I had already waited 10 minutes so could not wait as our toddler was playing up!

Apart from the little negatives it was a great hotel and we would stay again!

Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

My wife and I stayed here for one night, on our way back to Philadelphia from Lima, Peru. We had never been to Miami and took advantage of this one day, one night stopover to go see South Beach. The taxi ride is $35 each way from the hotel to South Beach, so if spending more days expressly to see Miami then I would not stay at this Embassy Suites hotel. But for one day, this hotel definitely met our expectations. It has a nice central hotel atrium where we ate a wonderfully ample and delicious American breakfast buffet. The staff was incredibly helpful, including giving us suggestions on what to do on our one day day-trip in Miami. The room had a very comfortable bed, a separate living room/sitting room area. And the lunch and dinner were delicious at Barcelona, the hotel restaurant. The complimentary hotel shuttle made the trip to the airport very easy.

My wife and I initially booked our room online for one night only, not sure if we'd want to stay a second time. After one night, we knew we'd found a home in Miami, and Karin, the front desk manager, and the two young men assisting her went beyond the call of duty to help us book our second night's stay at the same rate we'd gotten online for our first night. The rooms, with two giant flat-screen TVs, were spacious, spotless, nicely laid out and contained all the basic amenities anyone would require. The two young ladies tending bar for the evening happy hour (free drinks) were only surpassed in graciousness and helpfulness by Tamara at the a.m. breakfast buffet. Aware that I was suffering from a cold, Tamara fixed up an order of tea, honey and lemon for me to take back to my room. The eggs cooked-to-order breakfast (also free) was as fine as one could ask for away from home. The 12 o'clock noon checkout allowed us to pack in a leisurely, unhurried manner and the young lady who drove us to the airport in the hotel shuttle provided free bottles of ice water. Anything else? Oh yeah, the young Asian lady in the gift shop went out of her way to help me purchase the right phone card and even loaded it into my cell phone. Our stay at this hotel was outstanding in every way and I'd recommend it without reservation to anyone visiting Miami. One last thing, if you get hungry pass up the Bennigan's around the corner and order the Chinese food from the menu found in the hotel services binder in your room.

My husband and I stayed here for the night before our cruise out of Miami. They had a complimentary shuttle pick us up from the airport and provide us with bottled water. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Free alcoholic beverages were provided for a couple hours in the evening, and an extensive breakfast buffet in the morning. The rooms were fantastic and roomy and very well set up. The hotel concierge was very helpful and got us very reasonable transportation to the port. The price was equivalent to what I've paid for a very low quality hotel.

Very impressed and definitely would stay again and recommend to anyone!

Our stay there was great even though their entire electronic key system was down.
The food was wonderful, the rooms were without flaw. The pool area was very enjoyable. They had a complete breakdown of their door lock system, but they handled it very well. They had employees located on each floor with master keys, and due to the fact that they rooms all face the balconies over the interior courtyard it was easy to signal to someone that you needed to be let into your room. We asked for and received a discount for our inconvenience.

Free shuttle from airport to hotel.

Personnel scheduled a van with a trailer to take our group (2 families with 6 teenage girls) to the cruise ship. Driver even stopped by Walgreens for us to get a couple cases of water before boarding the ship.

Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Lots of variety; hot foods, fruits, cereals, breads, etc.

Very nice stay.
