“Inviting Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

It was a family vacation pre-cruise stay, what a grand start to the cruise. They had 2 hours of free drinks that friday with light snacks, which the kids loved. We all enjoyed the lush greenery , the fish pond ,along with the birds in the lobby area. The rooms were quite large and roomy, and a nice view of the airport. We especially enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which filled us up until we boaded the cruise ship.We took the hotel shuttle bus to the cruise ship port, and experienced a real issue,my husband left his carry-on with his medicine on the bus. My son immediately called the hotel who phoned the driver , the bag was located and we could all take a breath again. We all agreed we would totally stay there again

Room Tip: Choose the top floor and enjoy the lush greenery in the lobby on the way up.

This was a great hotel to stay in for the weekend and for the cost. They had free cook to order breakfast and free evening cocktails. The hotel was located in an ideal place and not far from the beaches, the mall, and the Wal-Mart. The food in the dining room was great as well.

I stayed at the Embassy so I can enjoy the breakfast buffet they have in the morning but I was not so impressed. The room was clean and a small balcony to enjoy the airport view, but the carpet had a bit of an old smell feel to it. The pool area was nice and comfy to relax and do some work on my laptop. The parking exit was a bit problematic as the reader seemed to get stuck sometimes. I enjoyed staying here but will try another hotel next time.

Spent a week from August 19 to 26th 2013. This was a mini vacation and shopping trip. The first room we got was close to the freeway. It was very loud and we immediately requested another room. We were informed by the front desk that that was the quietest side of the hotel as the other rooms were subjected to the loud noises of airplanes taking off and landing. But the attendant really tried her best and we got a room on the 9th floor away from the street. However, we still heard the airplanes, guess it was unavoidable being close to the airport.

The rooms were ok, but the carpet needed a good, deep cleaning/shampooing, as our feet got dirty if we walked bare feet on it. The sofa bed was hard and uncomfortable. The gym is standard and looked clean. Worked out one day. Due to the extremely loud noise of airplanes taking off frequently, the pool area was vey unpleasant. Could only spend half an hour one day while our room was being cleaned. Breakfast was not good. The scrambled eggs and potatoes were not tasty and the two lines for the omelets were very long. Ended up having oatmeal for breakfast everyday. My kids also did the like the muffins and donuts provided everyday for breakfast. It was also difficult to find seating accommodations depending on the time we went to breakfast.

I have stayed in a few of the Embassy Suite hotels over the last 8 years in Puerto Rico, Ft. Launder dale and Orlando, but this was the worst one. Will not be going there again.

Room Tip: If you sleep lightly, this is not the hotel to stay.

This is a great hotel for families visiting Miami. It is really close to airport (but not too close), it has a wonderful full breakfast, there is a relaxing happy hour with free drinks and snacks, and the staff is very friendly. The only reason I did not give it a "5" rating is I am a business traveler and it is not the most ideal hotel for this type of travel. It tends to be a little noisy and the breakfast lines are rather long. I have stayed at this property about five times now because of its location but I think I may try another Hilton location just to see if it is more suited for the business traveler. But again, this is a great place for families. And it is only minutes from South Beach, as well as any and all shopping you would want to do while in Miami.
One catch: parking is not free and can add up if you stay for longer periods.

Room Tip: The higher floors tend to be a little quieter

Thank you for your review! Yes, we agree we are in a great location for all travelers. Our complimentary breakfast area can get pretty busy and we do apologize for the wait, however we are the only Hotel in our area that has a hot order breakfast and it opens at 6:30 AM to beat that morning rush. We do hope you consider staying with us again.

Kind Regards,

I travel alot and this is the worst hotel for me yet. Had this bad experience checking in. I made reservation 3 months before an upon arrival was told they had no room for me because my room was given to a family who checked in last night. This girl jo-anna at the front desk was horrible. She told me that maybe i should go to a mall instead, because she doesnt have a room for me anyway now of get another hotel. The airconditioning was bad, sending warm air all night. I was very dissapointed in this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you wNt to throw your money away on a really bad hotel.

Yes, you are near the airport. But that's what I wanted as I was taking an INTL flight the next day . It was great to have complementary shuttle to & from the airport. Checked right in and. everything in our room worked fine. Room was spacious with extra sink in room. Breakfast was great - got there early to avoid the crowds. Pool was not crowded and temperature of the water was perfect. Would certainly stay there again if I had a Miami layover.
Only negative...0rdered a club sandwich to go from the restaurant- $19+ which was very overpriced.

Thank you so much for that wonderful review. We are the only Suite Hotel in this area offering Free Shuttle as well as complimentary breakfast and a reception in the evening. Grill305 does offer promotional specials and we do apologize if the pricing was not to your liking. We also will take all our reviews and address them immediately with our team members. Again, thank you for this positive review.
