“Very convenient to airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

The hotel is perfectly clean, free shuttle to and from airport, exceptional staff, nice suite room, great breakfast, good happy hour. The only reason for four instead of five stars is that the location is only good for the airport. The price is a little high. They offer to shuttle to area businesses, but in reality they don't have staff to do this so you either need a car (pay to park) or a taxi to get anywhere else.

Room Tip: They charge different amounts for different views, but we walked around and don't think any of t...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

Stayed for three nights in November/December. Staff were polite and helpful. Manager's reception and the hot breakfast are good, and is a convenient option to the fact that there is not a real lot of restaurant or bar options within walking distrance. Restaurant offers reasonable quality and price as well. Depending upon what floor you are on, airport traffic can be quite noticeable, but hey, it is an airport hotel. We were on the 6th floor and did not hear very much... customers in some of the upper floors tended to discuss it more. Rooms were clean and predictable. Our sofa bed was quite poor to sleep on, but overall, we were very happy with the experience. (If you stay is about an NFL football game, public transportation to the stadium is pretty weak.)

Room Tip: Stay in lower floors to get less aircraft noise.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Stayed for one night after a transatlantic flight.
I had to wait 40 minutes for the shuttle at the airport. The location is rather industrial with limited options off site dining.
Once at the hotel check-in was quick and easy. The hotel atrium seemed a bit dated but not run down or dirty.
Suite was a standard two room affair. The room felt damp but the area is very humid and I assume the windows were open earlier. Air Con kept the room conformable once I switched it on. The room was quiet during the night and I was not bothered by the sound of aircraft.
Breakfast was OK but the line for the omelet station was longer then I expected. The wait was about 10 minutes.
Bell staff we helpful with my further transport needs. Overall, a decent property but I would probably not return due to the area's limited options.

We stayed in this hotel for just one night following our flight from Heathrow and prior to the drive to Fort Myers the following day. We chose the king size suite as we needed somewhere for my husband and myself and a separate room for our adult son. Both the main bed and sofa bed were extremely comfortable and gave us just the sleep we needed after our long journey. We did manage to take advantage of the managers complimentary cocktail bar, where we had relaxing drinks before having something to eat. The only possible downside was the restaurant was expensive and lacked variety, but as we were so tired, we did not want the bother of going elsewhere, although there was a shuttle bus that would have taken us to local restaurants. the breakfast the following morning was very nice and cooked to order. We found all the staff very pleasant, friendly and smiley, which meant a lot to us. We will certainly use this hotel again when we fly into Miami Airport.

Our family of four stayed one night at the hotel on our way to New York. We did not eat dinner or breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast and dining areas however looked reasonable. Our suite was a good size, it consisted of a sitting room which included a desk with two chairs, a two and half seat lounge and a 40 inch flat screen TV. There was a separate bathroom with all the facilities and a separate little sink and coffee maker in the hallway between the bedroom and the sitting room. This was a really nice clean hotel with a very good airport shuttle which we used at 5am in the morning. We would stay at the hotel again.

This is a very nice hotel. It is super clean and the help is very attentive. Embassy Suites also offers a complimentary daily cocktail for 2-hours every evening which included unlimited drinks and snacks. They also have a complimentary daily breakfast buffet.

The only downside is the daily $16 parking fee to park on their property.

We will definitely stay here again.

1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

As my husband and I are transferring abroad, we had to have a hotel in Miami for one night, and with Embassy Suite's reputation and convenience to the airport, we chose this hotel. We made a mistake. We had several issues almost upon arrival. Each room has a small balcony, and one had to be Arnold Schwarzenegger in his younger days to open the doors. We had to use the hotel's business office for Internet access, the speed was extremely slow, and we got booted off several times having to start over again. We were not able to check our flight status to determineif there would be any problems due to Hurricane Sandy. Luckily for us, we were not affected. The water in the shower was tepid at best. We didn't check with hotel maintenace to fix it as we were going to be leaving soon anyway, though I did bring it to the attention of the front desk staff. The room, 602, was only okay. But walking out of the room there were food crumbs in the corridors where Housekeeping did not clean. It was actually kind of gross walking on old food. Additionally, the toilets had to be flushed a few times before all waste was cleared in the toilet. Internet issues, cool showers, food on the floors, stuck doors, etc. were just too much to hangle for less than a 24 hour stay. It wasn't even as though we were there for a few nights and had the opportunity to ask the hotel to fix it. We checked out October 31, when I saw people in costume. After frustration with Internet service, we got off the elevator onto our floor, and I was very surprised to see that hotel management would allow such a risque costume on someone. In just a few seconds I realized it was not an employee in costume, but rather a hooker hanging out on our floor. In fact, she was a VERY obvious prostitute as in the kind television portrays. If I had young children with me I would have been mortified. I know hotels are a hotbed (no pun intended) for prostitution, but this one was just bizarre. It appeared she gotten some breakfast which was on a tray. She had the tray balanced on the rail overlooking the atrium where people were dining. After she left, the tray stayed even though housekeepers were on the floor. The tray could easily have fallen off the rail hurting someone in the atrium below. All in all, there were just too many little things that became a big nuisance. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone either for an overnight stay, a few night's stay, or extended. There was just too much wrong during the short time there.

Dear Travel5856,

I’m terribly sorry to hear about your experience while staying with us. I’ve touched base with our internet service provider to notify them about the connectivity problems so that we can quickly resolve any issues. I’ve also worked with our maintenance team regarding the plumbing concerns as well as the hot water issue and the Housekeeping Department in regards to cleanliness issues you experienced to make sure this does not happen again.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will return for an improved experience.

Warm regards,

Gus Lima
