“Always a Great Choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2011

If you like free drinks then find an Embassy to stay at while traveling. The nightly managers reception always compensates for the already valuable prices on rooms. The rooms are huge, the interior of the hotel is unique with Koi ponds and birds, and the hotel staff is always very friendly. We've stayed here twice and have had excellent experiences both times.

Nothing special. Room was generously sized and clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and the kids liked the pool. My brother's room was smoky, dirty and had no towels. A bit on the pricey side for value received.

We were five so the large rooms were great. At $190 + tax, it was a little on the high price for the location (planes fly over head all day).

The rooms at this hotel are absolutely gorgeous. It is a Embassy Suites, so that should be expected. All the rooms there are either one king or 2 queen with extra living area. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and personable. The valet area was sort of slow and when we needed our car they were not around and took time to come out. The hotel atrium was gorgeous. Nice gift shop and restaurant at the hotel, which we almost ate at, but decided to go to south beath. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience breakfast or the evening reception but I'm sure it was great. Obviously being next to the airport, expect to hear airplanes flying in and departing, so if you are light sleeper, get ears plugs like me!

We stayed here on December 15, 2011 prior to our cruise. We usually stay at Embassy Suites because of good service and this was no different. Caught the shuttle at the airport - only waited about 10 minutes for it. Arrived just in time for manager's reception and the bartenders were great - drinks were strong and also had some nachos. Breakfast the next day was also great. My only regret is that i wish we had looked at the pool area the night before. it's a great setting and drinks by the hot tub would have been nice!!!!! We took the shuttle to the Port of Miami. This was nice because it's a bus with a small trailer behind it to load your luggage in - you can roll it right in without having to bend or lift. Hector, our driver, gave us his card and he picked us up from the cruise (we called when we got thru customs) and took us to the aiport. we had a party of 9 and he bought a large van with the luggage trailer behind it. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but we ordered pizza so i don't know about that. We would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: There are two sets of elevators - so i think any room is pretty close to one.

We stayed at this hotel because my husband had a meeting to attend that took place here. Very near to the airport (they have a shuttle but we rented a car) and a short drive to Miami Beach, about 10 minutes. There is a charge for parking - $16/day. Nice room, separate living room with a tv in each room. Clean, good housekeeping services - we were in and out at odd times and they always managed to come and make up the room in between without us having to call. Room service (same menu as the restaurant 305 on the premises) was very good. Excellent flat iron steak, black bean soup, and quesadillas. Breakfast is included with a hot buffet of items cooked to order - omelettes and pancakes but no waffles. Not a lot of fruit but they had yogurts, cereals, breads for toasting, potatoes and biscuits with sausage gravy. A really good deal, we paid $139. Nice pool and fitness center as well as a good business center. Very nice service overall. Just had a problem with my iphone not being able to connect to the internet but the staff had me speak to someone who resolved the issue for me. It's set up like an atrium so you can see the restaurant area below. Since it's so near to the airport you can hear the airplanes taking off but we got used to the noise.

It was a very very bad experience. Too bad!!!
I've spent alomost an hour waiting for the shuttle, when I called, I've been told that the shuttle would arrive in the next 15 minutes, then after a 30min wait, it would leave the hotel in 5minutes. I decided to take a cab, when I finally get at this hotel, the shuttle was in the parking!!!!!
The concierge have a different explanation of those of the desk.
On the day of the check-out date, I called the desk, the i waited for 10minutes in the desj before seeing someone...
