Stayed there three nights and enjoyed the beautiful bay view. However, the last night after returning from a long day of work, I turned on the lights and saw a gigantic ROACH on the wall. I called front desk and the agent was in disbelief, she immediately changed me to another room, which was a suite with an incredible 180 degree bay view. I was very impressed with the empowerment given to employees to resolve guest's issues. That is what makes Marriott a safe travel bet. My biggest complain is the hotel charges for everyhing. No free wireless in rooms, no complimentary business center (at least internet usage) and pool was outdated. I prefer the JW Marriott for my future business trips, cleaner and nicer too (plus I get free in room wireless internet). My rate included free breakfast, which was outstanding. I guess I can't complain too much, but I disliked the location of the hotel. and a roach in my room is unacceptable. Need to CHANGE your extermination company.

I stayed here on a business/pleasure trip based on some reviews/price/location etc. Never stayed in Miami before. The staff was great, the room although not real large was of good quality and clean. I had a nice view from up on the 28th floor -very pretty in both day and night. No real issues except the parking costs $26 per day, so I was trying to avoid that charge as I knew I'd be out and about a lot. Big mistake! Actually, I learned that you're going to get charged anyway, so might as well use it. The Marriott was also very kind and refunded all my parking fees (or at least they say they are going to). The neighborhood around the hotel gets scary pretty quick. Yes, it's on the harbour and there's park nearby, but there seemed to be many homeless people around. At 3pm on a Sat. I left my car parked at a meter 2 blocks from the hotel for 1 hour. Returned to find my window smashed out and briefcase stolen (it was on the floor passenger front - yes I shouldn't have left it there, but 1 hour in broad daylight for crying out loud!). That pretty much killed that day with the police report, rental car swap out etc. BTW Hertz at the Miami airport is horrible!!! Long lines and workers who couldn't care less! I guess to summarize my stay... everything was good, just stay in the hotel, or go drive to another neighborhood! No issues with the Marriott staff whatsoever!

We only overnighted here. Got in just in time to get some food at the bar and up early after a capaccino in the coffee shop. The rooms were comfortable like you would expect from a Marriott. The place seemed empty as did the convention center it was near. We booked because of price and we loved the night view of the city from our high floor.

My girlfriend and I went to Miami for a 2 day stay prior to our cruise boarding at the Miami port. We actually made a reservation at the Eden Roc at Miami Beach for our 2 nights stay prior to the trip. We got to Eden Roc on Saturday, Jun 6, hoping to get a great beach/ocean view in this hotel. Unfortunately, Miami Beach was hit by a severe thunderstorm on the day before this Saturday and the disaster flooded Eden Roc's parking lot. The hotel sent us to Marriott Biscayne Bay downtown for relocation. I was very upset since I wanted to stay in the Miami Beach area.

When we got to Marriott Biscayne Bay, the service desk was very friendly and helpful. We told the frontdesk lady about our situation and she took care of us immediately. She was very kind and offered us an ocean view as well as some coupons to use for their dining.

Our room was on the 18th floor with an ocean view. We could actually see our Cruise and the Port from where we were! The room was very clean. It had a 37inch LCD TV. The bathroom had a very luxury design on the mirror. They also offered bath and body works shampoo , conditioner as well as body lotion. The gym and the pool was also very nice. Internet is an additional charge though (do not know how much)

The location of the hotel wasn't bad either. It was relatively close to a bus station (a 2 - 5 min walk from the lobby) that took us to Miami beach area. The bus ride from there to Miami Beach area (south beach area) was about a 10 - 15 min ride with a bus fare of 2 dollars per person. (We didn't have a car). So the location wasn't bad at all for us since we wanted to spent the 2 days at Miami Beach area anyway.

Overall, I loved this hotel and If I were to go to Miami again, I may consider this hotel again.

Great stay at this Miami Marriott Hotel. Got a great rate and upon check-in was immediately upgraded to a Corner suite Bay-View room on the 29th floor. The view was amazing! The room was also one of the largest of any Marriott I've stayed at and perfectly clean. Every staff member I encountered was polite and very helpful. The Concierge Lounge on the 31st floor had equally amazing views and a descent food selection.

My only complaint with the hotel was the elevator leading to the parking garage. It is very outdated (80's) and makes you feel like you are going to get trapped in it every time. On a couple of occasions I would enter it, the door would close, and it would do nothing. Took several times to get it to move. On another occasion, it got to the Lobby level and the doors rattled for over a minute before finally opening. If you self-park, riding it is your only option, since there are no stairs. I think it is their way of convincing you to pay the extra $$ to valet. For $26 a day / person to self-park, you think they could afford a better elevator by now.
