“Some service glitches”

The automatic window blinds switch was installed upside down, so UP lowered the blinds, etc. They knew and shrugged. Promised free printing of boarding pass but was charged $10. Had to ask for it to be reversed. Sugar/creamer packs not replenished in room. Called to ask for some and they sent up 1. Two would've been nice. Staff did not seem informed. Concierge took phone calls while helping us. Restaurant served me a steak in a box, no utensils, no napkins. What? Beautiful interior, great location right on water of Biscayne Bay.

Location - really good, close to shops, bars and restaurant of the bayside, and not far from public transport metromover.

Hotel - high standard, lives up to the intercontinental brand, spacious room.

Food - excellent, in house restaurant Toro toro is expensive but worth it.

Overall - good value for money. a decent choice, would recommend.

Thank you for writing this review and recommendation on the overall quality of our hotel. Indeed, our location is pristine. We are centrally located in the middle of downtown Miami, allowing our guests to easily walk to a variety of attractions and restaurants. We are also glad you had the opportunity to dine at our very own Toro Toro Restaurant & Bar. The pan Latin style cuisine is absolutely delicious. Whenever you travels bring you back to Miami, we hope you decide to stay with us again.

I stayed at the InterContinental back a few weeks ago and I wanted to take the time to write a review about how great my experience was. For starters I am a frequent Miami visitor and am familiar with the big name hotels, Fountainbleu, Delano and so on... That being said I want to take the time to say, as far as amenities, rooms, quality they are all at the same level as the Inter, but when it comes to service, I have to give it to the Intercontinental and one staff member in particular named Rodrigo or "drigo". Rodrigo made my stay in Miami better then any of the previous trips i've had. Heck, I had been to miami with a ton of friends who were local and had been raised there always claiming they knew the best spots and what not. On this trip I took friends from out of town and wanted to show them what Miami is all about. Rodrigo did that much more, he provided excellent service, the best recommendations and took care of us. I really felt as though I was a VIP celebrity to be quite honest.

I highly recommend this hotel and if Rodrigo is working as concierge I highly recommend that you approach him for advice and suggestions on what to do while in Miami. Thank you again. Can't wait to return for NYE.

I recently scheduled a business dinner at Toro Toro Restaurant at the InterContinental Miami. What an amazing experience; from the service to the food, the drinks, the coffee, just incredible. Telicia from the Toro Toro Bar greeted us with a huge smile and offered us drinks before we set down at the table, where Matej the waiter was already waiting for us with my favorite bottle of wine! (Yes they remembered the wine I enjoyed with my wife on a previous visit!) Matej is great, he takes you through the menu and explains the dishes in a way you feel like tasting everything; he is a happy man and makes you feel very comfortable. The appetizers were great....we had ceviche nikkei, hamachi tiradito and grilled octopus and the churrasco skewer with asparragus and yuca fries as a main absolutely fabulous. Don't miss the Nutty Berry Coffee by Matt, it is incredible.......I had two!! Thank you Toro Toro team for making our dinner a perfect experience!

I travel 40 days a year. This was the worst hotel experience of the year. The restaurant on the swimming pool level was too noisy to hear. The concierge was unhelpful and dismissive. The room did not get changed until almost 5 each day.

I stayed at the Intercontinental in downtown Miami on business for a week. The hotel is great and the service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly nice and they made everyone feel welcome. I had never stayed in downtown Miami but would definitely stay here again if I had the chance.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the water so you can see the cruise boats in port.

This hotel is absolutely amazing and the staff are beyond amazing. We were especially impressed by Alex Sierra, Danny Moncada, and William all of whom we met as we first entered. We have never stayed at this hotel but they instantly made us feel as though we stay there on a regular basis. We needed some special accommodations and these three men went above and beyond to accommodate. (the bellman who brought up our luggage was also great but I don't know his name) As I said, it is undeniable that the hotel is gorgeous but these four men really made it shine!
