Great location, updated & spacious rooms. Guest service staff is fantastic, maintenance not so much. Had to call 3 times to have cordless phone fixed. They plugged it into the main wall and when light turned out phone didn't work (forget wake up calls). The 3rd time, they figured it out. They had to move headboard/nightstands to get to plugs. If they would have checked the first time it wouldn't have been an issue. F&b also has + & -. Food good, but service is slow. One day we had to leave before lunch got out (40 min later). They made it up for it & more. Bar/Rest. Mgr joey was unbelievable. She came in on day off to make sure we were taken care of the next day. Would stay again. They let us know they cared, and if there was a problem they would take care of it for us. NICE JOB JOEY!!!

We arrived early at the hotel and the receptionist was able to find an available room for us. We received a free upgrade to an upper floor room with a view. I didn't care for the 'double tipping' for our suitcases. One person received a tip at the door for our bags then a different person dropped the suitcases off at the room (with their hand open too). The room was clean and spacious with a large bathroom. There were two design mistakes in the bathroom. The toilet paper holder just was in the wrong place and half the time we sent the roll flying across the floor, plus there was a towel bar in front of the sink so you couldn't get close to the vanity mirror to put contact lenses in etc... We did not use the bar services, but appreciated the complimentary in-room snacks and drinks for being a Platinum Rewards Card member.

The best thing about our room was the view. We had a huge picture window of the harbor and could see for miles. It was wonderful. We used the hotel the night before a cruise out of Miami and the location was perfect for walking to get food an supplies, plus the taxi was only a few dollars to the cruise port.

I didn't give 5 stars because of the double tipping and the bathroom layout, but otherwise this was an awesome hotel that I look forward to using again.

Room Tip: Get a room on an upper floor with a harbor view.

As we drove up to the entrance the valet took care of our car and the luggage. Check-In was very easy and fast! Hotel lobby is amazing - colorful, lots of lights, big and the restaurants looked very nice even though we didn't eat there. A staff member guided us to our room, showing us how to operate with the blinds, telling us about the mini bar, and told us where everything was! He was beyond friendly. My boyfriend's mother whom we traveled with is used to good service due to business. Even she was blown away by how nice the staff was. To top it, my boyfriend forgot his tooth brush at home, so we went to the reception and asked for one. It was sent to our room, along with tooth paste, floss and also an one way razor with shaving gel. For free! 5 minutes after the toiletries had been sent to our room, the reception called and asked if the stuff has arrived - best service I have ever seen!! The room itself was very very clean and beautiful. The bathroom was big! Careful with the minibar though - all the groceries there are placed on sensors which will bill the costs of whatever you want automatically, even if you just move them a little bit - same goes with the fridge. The hotel is located almost perfectly. Right next to the water, 1 block away from a CVS and a small mall is right across the Boulevard. To sum it up, we all had a very nice stay at the hotel, and might come back there!

Room Tip: Rooms on the east give you a good view on the night lights.

Of course, this hotel is very nice. Nice restaurants, bar, fancy lobby, etc. The luggage an was so nice and not only helped us to our room, he showed us some of the room features, and he even told us things to do nearby. The rooms were also very clean and seemed new. I can't understand the poor reviews. The bed was so comfy, and the view was awesome. The front desk employees were wonderful. When I had left my toothbrush at home, they sent not only a tooth brush to my room, but also a shaving kit which I also needed. They even called later to make sure I received the toiletries. What great service! It's also good distance to South Beach and within walking distance of CVS pharmacy, and other restaurants. I would love to stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and it was absolutely a good experience. Hotel is closed to south beach, airport, port of Miami and some shopping malls. The park in front of the hotel is also a good place to walk around and rest. Importantly, the hotel is right by the bay. I want to give my thanks to front desk agent Nature. She knew that it was my birthday. She not only upgraded our room to a breathtaking harbour view room, she also sent a bottle of red wine to our room. How thoughtful is that? The whole stay she and the agent at the concierge are very helpful. It's so surprising that even though the hotel is very busy, the staff are still going on and beyond to really take care of us. Even though we did not have our room ready early in the morning, that did not really affect our mood of exploring the city because everything is so close.
We are traveling from Canada, this warm service will definitely earn us back to visit! The only
thing will be better if the shower area can have more space .

I would like to take a moment to tell the leadership team of InterContinental, that your team member Angelica, has the best customer service that I have been privileged to experience in a long time. Upon arrival on Friday, I was quiet displeased with the room that I was presented with. Although she could not accommodate me that night because of (full occupancy), she promised that she would present better accommodation for the rest of my stay. I was in trainings and meetings for the rest of my stay. But to my surprise Angelica made true to her promise and followed up to make sure that I was okay. That meant a lot to me. We all know that exceptional customer service is hard to find, but your team member sure has a way of providing Gold Star Service, she was authentic with her approach and she delighted me with a surprise. Thanks Angelica, your time, smile, and efforts were/are appreciated. I hope your leadership team will permit you to train others on what great customer services looks like! Thank you soooo much.
