We arrived early at the hotel and the receptionist was able to find an available room for us. We received a free upgrade to an upper floor room with a view. I didn't care for the 'double tipping' for our suitcases. One person received a tip at the door for our bags then a different person dropped the suitcases off at the room (with their hand open too). The room was clean and spacious with a large bathroom. There were two design mistakes in the bathroom. The toilet paper holder just was in the wrong place and half the time we sent the roll flying across the floor, plus there was a towel bar in front of the sink so you couldn't get close to the vanity mirror to put contact lenses in etc... We did not use the bar services, but appreciated the complimentary in-room snacks and drinks for being a Platinum Rewards Card member.
The best thing about our room was the view. We had a huge picture window of the harbor and could see for miles. It was wonderful. We used the hotel the night before a cruise out of Miami and the location was perfect for walking to get food an supplies, plus the taxi was only a few dollars to the cruise port.
I didn't give 5 stars because of the double tipping and the bathroom layout, but otherwise this was an awesome hotel that I look forward to using again.
