This was my third time staying at the IC for one night pre-cruise. I usually came with my daughter - this time, my husband and other daughter were also cruising with us, so the double bedded room would have been uncomfortable. Upon looking to use my Priority points, I was surprised to see a king suite available for points, with a queen pullout. I booked it online, and when we arrived at the hotel and were given the room, we saw it had only a king bed - no pullout. We immediately called downstairs, and spoke to Kerri Ann, who was beyond wonderful! She said there was a glitch in the online booking system, and we should not have been able to get a suite for points - but she would honor the booking, despite the glitch. Upon seeing our new room, we were shocked to see it was a duplex penthouse with a spiral staircase. Unfortunately, it was a city view, but that didn't bother us. It was in immaculate shape and spotless. The a/c was quiet and efficient. As for the hotel itself, it is beautiful, and you can't beat the location to the cruiseport and Bayside Marketplace. We also had Club level privileges, which included free drinks/snacks for happy hour, and breakfast in the a.m. The front desk staff went above and beyond, and even called us several times to see if we were comfortable. The bell service was great, considering the hotel was full. My one complaint with this hotel is the pool. Every time we have been there we have never seen sun shine there, as the buildings around the hotel shade it most of the day. We literally have to go sit in the park next to the hotel to catch some rays. The pool itself is very nice, and they are in the midst of re-doing the eating area there. My husband's only complaint was that the hotel charges $15 to use the workout equipment in the gym. (I was told that the spa/gym area is owned by an outside concession.) Aside from those minor issues, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay, and would highly recommend this hotel to any and all.
