After a long flight due to the strong winds in October 2013, arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome. Check in was fast and efficient, bar and food available. The most comfortable bed my husband and I have ever slept in.

Only negative was breakfast, quality of food was terrible, the price was very high, we ate their for convenience.

Stayed for 2 nights either side of a cruise holiday.

The hotel is old in general. I initially got a room that smelled like cigarrettes and requested a room change, which happened on my second night there. The people at the front desk tended to be rude. I was transferred to a connecting room, which was terrible, because I could literally hear the people breathing on the adjacent room. That's how thin the door and walls were. The distribution of the room is very dated. Everything, except for the bed and TV, looked to be very old. The chair in the room had a very weird brown stain. I also had a poor experience with the handling of several packages I received at the hotel. I initally called and asked if there would be any charge for receiving packages in the hotel and was assured there would be none. When I asked for my packages, I was charged $7.00 per package "for paperwork" and was offered no apologies regarding the supposed "no charge" policy. Also, we had to ask for several packages more than once because the staff "could not find them", even having shown them the "received signature" by a hotel employee. I left my phone charger and another guest went to pick it up for me. The housekeeping lady said that "no charger was found". Only after complaining to the head of security did she take it out of her pocket and return it to the other guest.

Room Tip: Ask for a non connecting room.

We needed a hotel after a really bad experience in another hotel and didn't want to take any more chances. Previous experiences with Hyatt have been confirmed. You can't go wrong here. Very friendly personnel, nice clean rooms, nice breakfast. Only point of critique would be the pool but this was a business hotel so we didn't really expect a Olympic size pool.

This hotel is well located in downtown Miami. We only stayed 1 night. The common areas are vast and well presented. Our room though was very dated in terms of decor. Although our room faced a highway it was not noisy. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. The lifts were a bit of a problem as they did not seem able to cope with the ammount of guests.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the river

We just finished a seven day cruise and didn't plan to leave until the next day. We found this hotel on Priceline. When we checked in we were exhausted from travelling and needed to rest. They accommodated our early check in request so we were able to get some sleep before heading back out for dinner. Very quite, nice facility, well appointed. The food in the bar area is excellent, and the service is excellent. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed ourselves very much! Great job by the staff members, and my compliments to management for a well run, customer service oriented, efficient hotel! Thank you!

Room Tip: The room was very quiet but the view was not attractive, as it overlooked the rooftops of other buil...

This hotel is ok. Nothing grand about it as some of the other Hyatt that I've stayed in. The lay out of the room, the bathroom, the sink, etc. are very dated. We only stayed for 1 night, therefore, not much to write about our experience except for what we've observed. The breakfast was basic.

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency for a night before a cruise. Staff were extremely helpful, and were very kid friendly (gave the kids beach balls, chocolates, etc.). Room was very clean and had a nice river view. A short walk to restaurants and parks (as well as Bayside Mall), and just a few minutes cab ride to the Port of Miami.

Only con is that the immediate area is extremely pedestrian unfriendly - near some busy highway on-ramps - which was scary with kids.
