“Great for Pre-Cruise stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

My friend and I were able to get a great deal on this hotel from Priceline. We stayed 1 night before a cruise. Check in was fast and the concierge was very helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. My only complaint would be that there is a balcony but they have since closed off the doors so you can't go outside. It is a short ride (or walk) on the Metro Mover to Bayside Marketplace

Stayed here for 2 nights prior to cruise. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a junior suite on the 22nd floor. Nice view but the room was noisy due to vehicles crossing the draw bridge. Would suggest staying away from that side even on the 22nd floor. Did not eat in the restaurant. Convenient to the bayside market place and shopping.

Got a great rate for a nice 4 night stay. The room was great, nice view of the river. Check in was easy and friendly. My one major complaint is the business center. At all the hotels I stay in I always go down to the business center to jump on a pc for a few minutes to check in at work. At this Hyatt, the business center wanted $15.00 for 10 minutes worth of PC time. I know they are close to the cruise terminals but i did not realize they would charge the pirate rates cruise lines do use a pc. Access to the internet for a few minutes at a hotel you are paying a considerable amount of money to stay in each night is now the accepted norm. Being charged $15.00 for 10 minutes use is like being robbed at sea!

We were here for the Ironman race and had a good experience. The hotel rooms themselves are in need of updating, but they are comfortable. Housekeeping missed us one day, but were more than apologetic and rushed up to see if there was anything they could help with. The staff are attentive and genuinely helpful. They are what made out stay go from average to great. The hotel restaurant is fine, but there are many, many other restaurant options within walking distance. The hotel Starbucks is one of the those pseudo-Starbucks kiosks, but there are two real coffee places within 2-3 blocks from the hotel. Very convenient.

Internet is slow, and the parking is expensive. Parking was expected for a downtown hotel, but they really need to work on getting more servers or something (not an IT person) to provide better internet service.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms face the bayside. Try to get a higher floor if you want any kind of view.

Very disappointed with my stay here, very expensive stay, very run down rooms, stains on everything, cracked sink, staff was friendly, however expensive and slow internet, but the biggest frustration was the lack of cleanliness. Shower curtain was old and dirty, shower itself was dirty with hair from previous guests, etc. They did not do anything to rectify the lack of hygiene in the rooms. disappointed.

We stayed here two nights on business. The rooms were just average, nothing great. There service here however, is nothing short of excellent. The room staff and the hotel staff in general are the best. The Riverview Bar and Restaurant food is very good and the staff there is wonderful. For a business hotel this is just fine.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Miami the day before i went on a Eastern Caribbean Cruise. Overall the hotel was very good! The front desk was polite and helpful and check-in was a breeze. The cab fair from the airport to the hotel was about $25. I personally thought the location was great as it is close enough to some of the nice places downtown (Bayside market place, $10 cab) as well as South Beach ($20 cab). There was an issue with getting wireless services, but the hotel was nice enough to comp us free lunch since we had no access. My only issue, was the washroom was kind of small and the shower heads were old and needed to be replaced.
