“Average Rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

We stayed here two nights on business. The rooms were just average, nothing great. There service here however, is nothing short of excellent. The room staff and the hotel staff in general are the best. The Riverview Bar and Restaurant food is very good and the staff there is wonderful. For a business hotel this is just fine.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Miami the day before i went on a Eastern Caribbean Cruise. Overall the hotel was very good! The front desk was polite and helpful and check-in was a breeze. The cab fair from the airport to the hotel was about $25. I personally thought the location was great as it is close enough to some of the nice places downtown (Bayside market place, $10 cab) as well as South Beach ($20 cab). There was an issue with getting wireless services, but the hotel was nice enough to comp us free lunch since we had no access. My only issue, was the washroom was kind of small and the shower heads were old and needed to be replaced.

I traveled there for a business, but I took my family with me. It is a great location and wonderful facilities. Receptionist greeted us with a great smile, and she upgraded our room with lounge access at no charge. Views are beautiful where we can see the river and the city. The room size is decent, and the lobby is not bad. The Hyatt lounge is very small compared to others. River walk is right outside the back door of the hotel, which made it very convenient. they allowed for late check out since my business ended a little later than their normal check out time.

Thanks Hyatt!

Room Tip: Take the river side, you can see both the river and the city.

A lovely hotel, very friendly and professional staff, I was lucky enough to of stopped on the 23rd floor. The Room was very large, with a sofa/tv area, and then the large bed the other side. The view was amazing to be honest.

Reception staff Ted and Ronda was really very helpful on advising about night life on south beach gave a map and directions. The Starbucks on the ground floor was, I look mine outside but the river.

The hotel is located in down town Miami, and in the financial district. It is well worth taking the mono rail down to Dadeland to the shopping centre.
I’m looking forward to stopping again. I am not able to rate the hotels value for money as my company paid.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room for the best views

Hyatt Regency has an amazing location, walking distance to all Miami stores, bay, hotels etc, and wonderful views.
You cannot open windows and balconies are locked for security .
My room must not be renovated lately, very clean , but and old feeling, tabs and showers needs to be change for current bathroom accents . One or two outlets in made it so difficult to charge the many devices we use now a days.
Restaurants, conference areas are magnificent, concierge area at the 23rd floor , was less than expected, very small, only 2 comfy couches and very limited selection of snacks , love the coffee, the best of all.
The staff was outstanding , every place, they were courteous , helpful , follow up your requests and from the valet, lobby, front desk, restaurant , concierge attendant and alli we the hotel the services made up for the inconveniences of the rooms,
Kudos to Ted Moore in the front desk. He went above and beyond in the front desk!

Just got here for a conference... good news first, the lobby and customer service is great. However, got to the room and thought I was in a time machine taken back to the 1970's... the furniture looks at least that old. The bathroom is very clean but old, shower has definitely seen better years. They also charge for internet access $14 per day. The only nice thing is the view from our floor is absolutely amazing - great view down Julia Turtle Causeway looking right at Miami Beach.

stopped in the Hyatt Regencey miami for one night on the night of the 22nd september while waiting for a cruise ship
hotel was excellent very clean and tidy, the room was fantastic with alovely view from the 17th floor.
Ray on the check in desk was brilliant the guy could not be more helpfull, what great customer service, the hyatt deserve a pat on the head for employing such a helpfull guy.
breakfast was good with plenty of choice and loads of staff to help you out if you needed it.
other people have mentioned that the rooms could do with an update which i suppose you might say that, but they we clean and comfortable so what more do you want.
the night only cost £65 for the room which i thought was excellent value compaired to some hotels back home in the Uk.
