Old, dirty and damp sums up my stay here. Bathrooms need a facelift and just appear dirty. Our room wasnt damp, it was wet. You could feel it in the air and when barefoot on the carpet. However, the ladies at the concierge and bellman were awesome.

If I can I stay at at Hyatt for a reasonable price when I travel I usually do and this was no disappointment. The service was fantastic and we were upgraded to a suite for the same price. The price was great for the area, even considering that Miami is generally overpriced. There were three star hotels that were close to the same price as the Hyatt.

The room was clean. The only down sides were that the bathrooms were a little small, dark and had not yet been renovated and the balcony doors were welded shut. I understand it's probably for liability reasons, but still, too bad.

The bed was fantastic - I love the Hyatt mattresses. The views were also pretty sweet. We had a view of the river and the surrounding towers. The hotel was a quick walk to some nice breakfast locations.

We would definitely stay here again.

booked a weekend at the hyatt regency - checkin was excellent. staff are well trained, courteous and they are ready to anticipate your needs - location, maps, restaurants - front desk staff are just wonderful.
the room we stayed in on the top floor of the hotel had a beautiful view of the water - not a full ocean view but very lovely. the scene at night was electric! jumbo king size bed facing the water, large screen tv, writing desk and oversize comfy chair were great but the bathroom needs an update! love the fact that the sink/large mirror was separate from the tub/shower/w.c but the lighting was really poor and although everything worked it was so dated and the lighitng made it look worst. good location to walk to marina and restaurants.
we had a very nice stay.

Room Tip: great water views

If you must stay in or near lovely downtown Miami, as we did for a trade show, the Hyatt Regency is, well, a Hyatt Regency: well-appointed, good-sized, functioning rooms, hard-working and helpful staff, all the amenities for business people, cruise tourists, conventioneers, airline crews, etc., etc. Excellent breakfast buffet, tastier since it came with our room -- to our surprise, since we had captured an attractively low rate. There are more exciting hotels nearby, with rates to match, but because the Hyatt Regency is in walking distance to our downtown destination we would consider it again. Busy, bland, but efficient enough, it's hard to criticize. It's a Hyatt Regency.

This is an old dirty hotel. The rooms are smelly and the AC is so noisy that we could not sleep.
We had to leave our room in order for the hotel to deal with the bad odor.
The beds were not comfortable .
We could clearly hear the conversations from the room next to our. A total nightmare.
The cleaning crew came and knocked on the door in the morning thinking we already checked out .
I never will stay there again.
This is not a 4 stars hotel. It is overpriced and overrated. I never had such a bad experience in a hotel.

Stayed here 3 nights for a conference. King room on 15th floor was huge with a nice view but not on canal view side. Other guests complained of traffic noise on water side. Bed was comfortable and room featured a large walk-in closet. But very dim lighting and calls to replace an overhead light bulb went unanswered. The fancy Ihome clock radio was useless. No buttons worked & time was an hour off until daylight saving time kicked in. I was surprised there was no mini fridge especially since the room was so large. Bathroom was adequate with plenty of hot water & good water pressure Elevator use required a room key which rarely worked. You would have to hope for another guest's key to work & desperately punch floor buttons before you passed your floor. Was a great way to make friends though. The meeting rooms were pretty good & we never lacked for coffee & snacks. One room we used had a dungeon like color scheme but we only used it for small breakout sessions. The lobby was typical Hyatt beauty but meeting room restrooms were falling apart. Staff was friendly & location was great. All in all not what I used to see at Hyatt but it has been a while since I stayed at one

The Hyatt Regency is a nice hotel. It's a 4 star but isn't as good as the JW Marriott across the street.

The rooms are nice but a little tired

Breakfast is very good and you've got a ton of options

I stayed here for 1 night on my Hyatt points - I'd recommend it for business but not a luxury stay if you want a romantic getaway for example.
