Hotel is well located to the port, downtown, people mover and the waterfront.
Large clean room with a nice view of the Miami river.
Stayed November 21 – 24 maybe they were short staff thru Thanksgiving
Hotel has very friendly and helpful front desk and restaurant staff.
The free breakfast was excellent in the sit down Riverwalk restaurant, not your average buffet.
With promotion pay for 2 nights and the third was free; this made the rate very attractive.
Carpets are well worn, litter and dirty laundry was left in the hall most of the day and room service only made up the room 2 of the 3 days.
The other problem was that they kept charging $22.12 times 3 days for the free breakfast. The front desk took it off the bill at checkout but accounting billed my Mastercard after checkout. Had to call again to have it removed, which they did with no explanation.
I wrote an email to head office customer service; but no response from anyone there.

This hotel is average at best. Not representative of Hyatt's quality and definitely not a 4 star. Like others have mentioned the Hotel is in dire need of updating. On a positive note, the staff is very accomodating, particularly the bellmen and concierge. Very close to Bayside Marketplace and the Port of Miami if you are cruising and also a short cab ride to South Beach. There is also a CVS, Chase, Wells Fargo, and Ross For Less clothing store 2 blocks away. Breakfast buffet and other food at River Cafe restaraunt at the hotel where overpriced and mostly inedible. I booked through Priceline and they supposedly upgraded me this "4 star" after I chose the 3.5 star option so beware if you are looking to stay in this area and naming your own price through Priceline. Was generally dissapointed. Would have been better off staying at the Holiday Inn a few blocks away.

Worth for what you pay.It's well located.Downtown area.
The rooms are big but the bathroom and shower very poor.
Not very clean,the carpet is in desperate need of a change.
Internet is NOT free and expensive.

We stayed for one night before leaving for a cruise. The hotel is tired, but the location very good. After 40 minutes talking to the front desk, where they completely messed up our reservation, we were bumped to a bigger suite. Frankly, I'd rather have the 40 minutes of time back. The staff was very friendly.
