“Boutique hotel (per American Airlines recommendation)”

You know, it wasn't all that bad! I have seen/stayed in worse and I was extremely grateful for a bed given that the whole city was booked out and we are on an reroute from Chicago to Bogota due to ice storms. The place is dated, eclectic and under renovations. Not quite a modern hotel, but memories of glory days linger. Carnival Cruise lines uses it for something so it must meet some muster. The work crew was applying very potent adhesives the evening I arrived so perhaps the fumes have affected my judgment. The very grumpy shuttle driver back to airport completed the experience! My Colombian friend blames the grumpiness on the Cuban influence (his words, not mine!). Walk next door to the pocket park and learn about Ponce de Leon while you wait for your ride to the airport.

Our stay here was recommended by American Airlines after we missed our flight. It was horrible and we couldn't wait to get out. It is next to a noisy road and was quite dingy. The wifi didn't work and anybody can wander in to the corridors through an open staircase round the side. The only plus point was a free bus service to and from the airport. We definitely wouldn't have stayed here if we hadn't been so tired.

To start with, they couldn't find our reservation we made on their website 4 weeks prior to going. The room we requested was not available and we were offered a "renovated room" which was on the 1st floor (still take your bags up 6 steps). The elevator wasn't working so any rooms on 2 or 3 were not offered. This was our wedding/honeymoon stop and we had over 6 bags to carry. The view was of a dumpster and a lady came to our window to show us how to turn the AC on. She saw us peering through the curtains and trying to work the AC controls. She then came inside the hotel and knocked on our door. She was a spouse of an employee in the kitchen- but we didn't know! That was creepy! No breakfast, no hotel directory, no mirror except bathroom which didn't have an outlet that worked for my hairdryer or curling iron. The provided hairdryer took the entire plug and it was out of order. No conditioner or bath soap- just shampoo and a face bar. Towels were semi-rough and the shower at 05:00 was lukewarm and cranked to the hottest setting. The "City Beautiful" magazine was from 2011-2012 (year old) left in our room. And we had the RENOVATED room. The worst was the customer service- they couldn't find our reservation when we had an email showing them the confirmation number and rate. They wouldn't honor the rate either. We had no choice but to take what we could get as we were leaving in the morning for our wedding/honeymoon in Antigua.

We were placed at this hotel by Delta after our flight was cancelled - thank you very much Delta. This place is horribly outdated, and the rooms stink as if someone has been smoking there there for 20 years without the rooms being refreshed. Truly horrible experience. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the website or Tripadvisor. I wouldn't put my toe in their swimming pool. The only positive was a nice lady at the reception who was vey helpful. I really feel for the staff who have to work with unhappy customers. This hotel only survies thanks to airlines and lack of accomodation in Miami during high season and events. Avoid at any cost.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room as our was located near huge air conditioning devices which were very loud and...

The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The restaurant was really good if you like Greek food.

Some things were a bit dated, but for the money it was perfect!

I will come back here the next time I am flying into Miami!

It is a perfect location for the Miami airport.

The hotel is a little out dated. Needs more plug ins. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. They offer free transportation to and from airport and cruise terminal. Called for airport pick up was there in 5 minutes. We did not eat there we ate atLittle Bohemia Grill
