“One of my favorites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

The ambiance, service and food are all excellent. What I like the most is their use of organic and fresh ingredients and their creativity. It is not a cheap place to eat but it's worth every penny.

“Outstanding and worth the trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

So, is it a far drive to get there from C.Gables/Brickell/S Miami/S Beach, YES, but SO worth it. This is a great restaurant to take someone for a special occasion or to impress your in-laws when they come to town. The food is outstanding and worth the wait. Chef Adrianne is in the kitchen preparing everything herself and by scratch, so be prepared to wait. In the meantime, enjoy a bottle of wine. Hands down some of the best food in Miami (no wonder it is #10 out of more than 1,000 restaurants). The portions are very large, so you can easily order 1 entrée and split it. My husband had the 12 oz filet with toasted goat cheese and has plenty left for lunch. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with capers and white truffle and I have leftovers as well. The brownie sundae is the biggest thing I have ever seen and even with the two of us, we couldn't even put a dent in it! The table behind us got the strawberry sundae and I'm pretty sure all 6 of them didn't even finish it!! Fantastic place, we will be back for sure.

“A diamond that is rough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

I have to say tht our group was disappointed all the way around. The service was slow and the food just average. It took an hour for our salad and apps to be served, and then another 45 minutes before the main dishes arrived. Their signature steak ($58), we had five for the group, were overly salted, with one arriving with a pretty large piece of fat on the filet. The food overall has flavor, but the reason from the servers for the LONG wait and slow food services (on a Saturday night) can't be "we prepare everything fresh and only have one cook in the kitchen". Wow, I was floored. After a $600 tab, the server comp'd our wine and reminded us again that they only had one cook and all is done fresh. I will say tht I had been there a while ago for lunch and the experience, service, and the filet were great. If they can work on dealing with the dinner rush with the appropriate number of chefs in the kitchen, I think they would have a hit. For the money, there are plenty of better Resturants in Miami. Unfortunately, you have to drive to Brickell or the beach.

“Mediocre but might be worth trying again.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

We dined at Chef Adrianne's for the first time a couple weeks ago. We were so excited to try her restaurant after reading all of the great reviews.

The restaurant is unique in that it is one of the very few upscale, Chef owned restaurants in West Kendall. There are some really great things about the restaurant, including the service, ambiance, casual elegance and generous portions.

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the food enough to want to return.

The menu was pretty limited, with about 5 or 6 appetizers and the main dishes were basically chicken, salmon, duck or beef prepared a few different ways. The wine selection was fine, but not huge, which was surprising being that the concept of the restaurant is one inspired by Napa Valley cuisine.

None of the main courses really interested us, so we decided to order wine and a bunch of appetizers to share. Warm bread with pesto sauce was brought to the table while our food was being prepared, which was a nice touch. We would have preferred some fresh whipped butter rather than pesto to keep our palate neutral before the food came, but no complaints so far.

The disappointment began when the food arrived. We had the lamb chops, tamalitos with shrimp which was supposed to be garnished with a garlic aoili sauce, pork/guava/white cheese wontons, and one other dish which I cannot remember. The "tamalitos" looked like a bowl of smashed tamales, which two drips of aoili...just a mess. The wontons were way too sweet and salty almost impossible to eat, pieces falling as you tried to pick up the slightly burnt wonton triangle (think a nacho chip loaded two inches high). The lamb chops were overcooked.

So, although there seems to be an effort for creativity and uniqueness, the execution was less than we hoped for, and we are unlikely to return.
