“It was great, but too many people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2014

It was great, my kids had fun, but too many people, in a place like this, kids like to explore, and run and it was a little bit uncomfortable, but the place is really cute and kids love it.

“Nice place but not amazing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2014

I went there with my 22 months child but most of the areas were too difficult for him and above all some of them were old and broken.
Anyway a good place where he could r un and play in Miami.

“If it's raining outside, this is a good option”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2014

We took out twin 23 month old boys to the Miami Children's Museum on a rainy day during our Miami vacation. There is plenty of place for children to run around, but the exhibits are certainly sponsored by big corporations and are not as interactive as other children's museums we have been to. The Minnesota Children's Museum and the Chattanooga Tennessee Children's Museums run circles around this one in Miami. I think older children would have more fun because there were areas for arts and crafts, remote control boats to operate, and a "crane" that you could pick up boxes and drop them on "ships", but none of that was something my almost two year old boys could manipulate on their own. This is not a cheap attraction. We had 2 adults and then two 23 month olds and the cost was $42 to get in. That was with one member being free because of a certain promotion on that day. There is a Subway sandwich shop in the museum and after a morning of running around, the sandwich shop was a nice place to have lunch. I would go again on a rainy day to give the kids an area to run off some energy but it was not amazing. Their location to Miami Beach is great! Just a quick drive. We went to the Miami zoo during this past visit, that was an hour drive, but we LOVED the zoo!! Put that on your list of activities if you have kids or not, it was a great excursion for sure! They even had a splash pad in the zoo!

“Fun for young kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

The museum is located right over the bridge leading into Miami Beach. I would recommend this museum if you have small children. In addition, the museum is free I believe every third Friday. The museum has two small play yards, a shop, and a sandwich shop inside. The permanent exhibits include: a supermarket shop, dentist office, emergency room, exercise bikes, with a green room where the kids can see themselves on a TV. There is also a bank where the kids can write checks, a veterinary pet center, a safety zone, which includes a firetruck and police motorcycle.Other exhibits include an area for just small babies, which includes books and a padded floor and there is also a room which allows the children to fish with poles. There is also a two story slide in the entrance. On the second floor of the museum there are remote controlled boats which you can operate and a port with cranes the children can operate.

I would recommend this museum if you have small children and be sure to take advantage of the free admission's every month. The museum usually has travelling exhibits that your small children will enjoy.
