“The heart of Little Havana”

Maximiano Gomez park is the heart of Cuban culture in Little Havana. It's here that elderly men meet to play domino.
It's a cultural experience. You can walk around or take a seat and just observe. People are welcoming and talkative. They are seriously players. Sometimes they mock each other.
There is a also a beautiful mural with American continent Presidents.

“Cuban Soul”

It's a small area but full of energy. This is where older Cubans come to play domino, the classic Cuban past time, although a few can be seen playing chess or cards. The energy in this place is exciting. They are skilled players, so make sure you know the game if you want to join in!

“Best stop in Miami”

Want to learn to relax? Want to see how the locals enjoy life? If you don't buy Dominos to take back home with you, stay at the park longer. I fit into the crowd here speaking no spanish and not being a local. My first stop in Miami will be here to greet my friends made in my last visit.

“Very Small”

I was expecting something much larger, but very small little fenced in area that had lots of tables to play chess or dominoes. Not a green park, but more a large patio, and located in the middle of Calle Ocho. I was expecting a green area in town that had some dominio tables with lots pf players. You look at it and then go, OK that's it--takes only a few minutes. But at least you can say you have been.

“Feels like Cuba”

Nice little Domino Park in Little Havana, Miami. When you pass by, you will see local old Cuban guys playing dominos and smoking cigar. This is not a place for amateurs. They mean business here!
