“Great Staff”

Was there on a business trip and stopped into canefire grill for a drink. The bartenders Ira and Rosie kept me company for hours - two wonderful, witty people that made feel at home. I'll be back, thanks to them.
For an airport hotel, this Marriott campus has everything you need; thank heavens, nothing much else around.

We stayed at this hotel pre-cruise. The hotel is in decent shape. Nothing spectacular, but good for a single night stay. However, service was a bit lacking. We went to the sports bar on premise. The next day, our $32 bill mysteriously multiplied to a $52 bill on our final hotel bill. We went to the front desk. No question an error occurred, but the staff offered no apology or explanation regarding how this occurred. The front desk acted like I was inconveniencing them but calling this to their intention. I stay at Hilton, Marriott, etc. to avoid these type of issues and receive an acceptable level of service.

I like the location of this hotel, very close to Miami Intl Airport, while it has very good staff, the property needs TLC [tender love and care] urgently. The Club floor is so small, that you feel for the staff, the rooms have no safe and the bed need changing. But again the staff is great and for that I could return. One more thing, they charge $17.00 for self parking, I can understand this in downtown properties but by the airport, come on. I know that hotels are looking for revenue earning areas, but that is crazy.

Room Tip: The Club floor is a must and try to get a rooms facing the west

Green Features: I didn't see any, while I put the towels on a hook behind the bathroom rood, they took them for cleaning each day, I didn't see any sign asking to conserve energy or water etc

We usually fly for vacationing in the Caribbean with a stopover in Miami. As Marriott Rewards member, we are regularly loyal to the group brands. This time we chose the Miami Airport Marriott, concierge level room, for the stopover.
It was worthwhile the 30USD upgrade to the concierge level, for a short dinner and a good breakfast. It was somewhat odd that for an Elite Member the in-room wifi wasn’t complimentary. We confirmed this with front desk. Nevertheless, wifi was free for all guests at the lobby. Our room (#971) was comfortable, although we could hear the noise from the 2 elevators nearby.
It’s a nice hotel for a stopover, with a great staff accordingly to Marriott standards and a convenient complimentary airport shuttle.

I had the privilege of staying here for a pre-departure orientation for volunteering abroad. All I can say is - wow! The hotel and grounds itself were all beautiful and sleek, with all modern amenities available. Upon arrival, the staff gave me a warm greeting and helped me find where I was to meet with the rest of my group. We also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel, both breakfast and dinner which exceeded any expectations I had about the food. The rooms were immaculate - clean linens, fresh towels, everything was perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling through Miami in the future.

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport and provides a free shuttle to & from the airport which is the main reason we selected it.

We spent Thanksgiving night here on our return trip from Aruba celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary since we couldn't get a flight back to Dallas until Friday. We had a nice room on a concierge floor. A few minutes after getting to our room someone brought us chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of wine. The hotel also gave us a nice Thanksgiving dinner down in their restaurant. The concierge lounge had plenty of food for breakfast. More than I've seen in other concierge lounges.

This is a great place to stay if you want to stay near the airport. It's perfect for spending the night if you fly into Miami one day and fly out the next.

Room Tip: Get a concierge room. The breakfast and drinks are well worth the small additional money.

The best thing the Miami Airport Marriott has going for it (besides location) is the wonderful staff. Each and every person there is pleasant and helpful beyond the norm. Sandra--manager in the Cane Fire Grill (good food too)--is a hoot. Louis the Bellman kindly got us a quieter room when he thought the one we were given was going to be too noisy. DeShawn in Starbucks turned our credit card in to Security when we left it behind. George (hotel mgr) made sure our room was ready at 5 a.m. when we checked in after travelling for 24 hours. People who are Fun, Attentive, Honest, and Responsive. Who could ask for more?
