“Bongo's at Bayside”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Before The Heat game on Tuesday night, 4-9-13, my husband and I ate at Bongo's. We knew we were in trouble when the waitress was unfamiliar with the menu, had to ask another wait staff member, then gave us an incorrect answer. The food was not the Cuban food I know from the many restaurants in our area. The mariquitas were stale/old, the bread on the chorizo was stale and the chimmichurri sauce tasted too oily. The waitress never came back to fill our glasses and on top of that a 20% tip was included. We would not have tipped her 20%. We did complain to the manager, who comped us 2 free alcoholic drinks. He also told us that this was the waitress's first day on the job. What happened to training before you start? We will not return as there are many more restaurants at Bayside where we get much more from our money.

“Poor Cuban Food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

I have never been at one of their restaurants, but some of my Cuban friends have been and they rate it in the poor side. The Cuban Food is not good while it is expensive. The last time a friend of mine visited their restaurant in Orlando they served him Ice cream with icicles which clearly means that the ice cream has been in the freezer for some time. I also learned that they have an Argentinian Chef in Miami. Sorry, a cuban restaurant in Miami with an Argentian chef? The Estefans (owners) really messed up on this project.
For good Cuba Food: Casa Larios, Havana Harris, La Carreta.

“Great Cuban good on the way out!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

We had the Empanada de carne, Bistec de Palomilla, and Mariquitas con mojo Cubano. All which was fantastic. This is a gem in the airport. The server was very good, and price for all of that was $30.

“Game night dinner was ok”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

The staff was appropriately manned for game night but it did take a while to sit down.
I love need empanadas but the ones I had were not good this time.
Dinner was fine but Luke warm.
The mojitos are always good and the staff fast and friendly.
Wish the food was a bit better as I love Cuban food but this did not measure up.
