“Great area to walk around, shop, and eat--fun place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

Coconut Grove was the original Miami. Miami City Hall is there and sets on Biscayne Bay. The Grove has had a facelift and some changes since I lived in Miami, but still a great place to go! There are various festivals and events throughout the year. CocoWalk is a tropical open-air, mall area-shopping center filled with stores, restaurants, and movie theaters. Main Avenue and the streets off Main are a great past time. LOTS of unique stores to wander through, restaurants, and, it's a quaint and beautiful area. You can wander all around in the Grove, Peacock Park, see the library, and stores line all of the streets, the marinas --5 of them --are on Bayshore Drive and Barnacle State Park is there. There's always something fun to do in the Grove. It's one of my top priorities when I go to Miami!!

“On it's own, not much to see here.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

We wanted a short trip from SoBe and this is on the tour bus route so we gave it a try. When the cab driver dropped us off in the 'historic' centre of town, we wondered if we were in the right place. There really isn't much here. A fairly small and unremarkable shopping area with an old house called the Barnacle nearby. The Barnacle had some interesting history ( it's a state park) but really that's it.
This is a residential area and if you are visiting Vizcaya (which is nearby and well worth the trip) it's worth calling in for lunch. OthErwise, nothing special.

“Nice shopping”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013 via mobile

Nice shopping with awesome restaurants and special stores. Next to the VS and Starbucks there are also nice art galleries and clothing stores. Next time I'm in Miami I'll stop by coconut grove again.
