“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My family and I stayed here for a short overnight before going on a cruise . The hotel staff was great very friendly and service oriented and the location of the hotel is fantastic . Shopping and some nice places to eat are literally around the corner and places you in the middle of the action in Miami . The rooms were a bit small but clean and comfortable . Will definitely be back with the girls for some shopping

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for one night. When we arrived to the front, the building itself looked beautiful from the outside to the main lobby. We were greeted with the valet guy who was quite helpful, but as soon as we walked in the front desk people were not so helpful. As soon as we went into the room it felt welcoming, but small. When I went into the bathroom, I noticed that the bathroom was not fully clean. There was broken nobs, hair by the toilet and on the wall. The shower curtain was held by a cheap rod that was not secured properly. When I was done walking around the small room, my partner and I decided to walk to the lounge and restaurant in the main lobby. The restaurant décor was beautiful and comforting. We were then greeted by the bartender and was offered drinks. As soon as we ordered drinks we were not noticed or even asked if we were hungry. I had to ask if the restaurant was open and if we were able to order food. We ordered and was never asked if we wanted a refill of the drinks. The bartender was then talking to his friends on the other side of the bar. He started to talk in his native language, that made us feel uncomfortable. He was on his cell phone in front of the guests and ignoring anyone everyone. I never have been to a place where the employees were the one that have more control then the guests that are paying. When we were about to pay the tab, I have noticed that there was a tip included. So of course, the bartender or server don't even have to work hard because he or she already has a tip from everyone that comes in to eat. I don't believe that a tip should automatically be included if the server or bartender does not even deserve it!! I also witness employees standing around watching TV while on the job. I am sorry, I thought that when you come to work you are supposed to work and not just hang around and watch TV while your guests are sitting waiting to get service. Cleanliness and poor service from the hotel to Biscayne Tavern was enough for my partner and I to never ever come back.

Room Tip: There are none if the hotel does not stay clean

Myself and a friend stayed here for a week in a room with two double beds. The room itself was clean and welcoming however the bathroom is very small. For a short stay, the small bathroom isn't the end of the world.

The Biscayne Tavern downstairs does a lovely buffet breakfast in the mornings and has a great selection of beers for the evening. The staff were lovely, always friendly and up for a chat.

The front desk staff were great, full of information and the concierge staff are amazing. Steve the concierge in particular helped us out a lot with local information and excursions.

The location of the hotel is great for Bayside Market Place and the bars and restaurants in Downtown Miami. The Cvi.Che bar, basically behind the hotel, was a favourite and the passionfruit Mojito at the Mojito Bar, Bayside Market Place!

A short taxi ride into South Beach is also recommended, it'll cost you $15-20 but it's a great place for shops, bars and the beach.

Overall a great stay and a great location if you would like the option to go between Downtown and Miami Beach.

This hotel could be a great place to stay, particularly if you want the European experience. You can sit on the toilet and wash your face in the sink at the same time! The price is a bit high. Worst experience was trying to get up and down the 11 flights of stairs because only one elevator was working and because of that we were running late to catch our cruise after waiting 25 minutes for the single elevator... then giving up. Oh, and that included hauling our luggage down the narrow stairwell for 11 floors. Would have had plenty of time to check out and catch our transport if not for the elevator issue. Then their computers were down so we couldn't get a receipt for check out! My 78 year old mother had to come down those same flights of stairs, with bad knees! Ugh!!! Just a horrible way to start a vacation. I will give the hotel manager due credit for taking 25% off of our bill for the inconvenience but only because we asked. The rooms themselves were clean and well maintained and the beds were very comfortable. Wouldn't stay here again after this experience.

Got an amazing Bay View room for a great price. We travel in Europe a lot so the size of the rooms were completely adequate. Great styling all around the hotel including nicely appointed rooms. Very comfy bed and pillows. Thanks for a great stay.

This is a good and clean hotel, recently renovated. The lobby is well decorated and has complimentary wireless internet. The room has adequate space, good complimentary wifi signal, but the bathroom is a little small. The staff is very helpful, always ready to carry your luggage. The location is very convenient, near Bayside Mall.
The cons that I found were a very noisy air conditioning system, subdimensioned elevators and a very expensive valet parking. The valet can inflate your bill up to 30-40%, so keep in mind that this center location has its disadvantages if you need parking.
The valet staff is very polite and helpful, they try their best to bring your car as fast as possible, but this can take up to 15 minutes on busy hours, mainly because the cars are parked on a different place. You can call the reception desk and ask for the car before descending to the lobby, that can take a while too because the elevators are full on busy hours (checkout time, for example).

Room Tip: My room was facing the bridge, and the view was great.
