I wrote a review about this hotel and I mistakenly clicked the Coral Gables Courtyard site instead of the Courtyard at Dadeland site. My apologies to the readers. This is what I wrote about this hotel Courtyard at Dadeland which I liked due to its convenience:

We stayed at this hotel overnight enroute to another city and were very impressed with the overall location which is very close to Publix and Dadeland Mall. This hotel is equipped with a mini fridge which is great to store soft drinks and yoghurts. The supermarket Publix offers breakfast and Cuban "cafe con leche" in the mornings and is a minute's walk across the street.One can also buy snacks from the snack bar located within the hotel. Our rates were very reasonable and we took advantage of the free shuttle which arrives on the hour every hour from morning until 10pm. Taxis from Miami airport to town can cost around $30-$40. So we saved $80/- by just using the hotel shuttle.This hotel is great value for the money.

If you are looking for a hotel that is convenient to the Dadeland mall, other shopping venues, restaurants and good coffee shops, this is a great hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be the construction going on right across the street next door to the Marriott. VERY NOISY until after 10 pm.

I can't say that Courtyard Dadeland is horrible, but c'mon Marriott, at least keep your properties fresh. I booked this room for 5 business days, wish I had taken the Residence Inn over in Coconut Grove while it was available. I actually spent time tonight looking for a different place to 'live' for the last two days. The bed is not bad, all the regular Courtyard stuff is the same, its just grimey. The desk chair is so sat in, flat and stained, I had to move my office work to the bed. The bed runners are stained, the main chair (aka suitcase holder) is stained, the bathroom countertops are old Motel 6 formica, the ice machine is crusted and falling apart (makes great ice though). The room is just so Blah.
On a good note, the staff are all VERY hospitable and pleasant. Very helpful. C'mon Marriott, I know its a nice area, but throw a few bucks at this property and freshen it up a bit. I might even come back (all the way from San Diego) and stay.

It's always a pleasure to stay at a Marriott but the service here is just great everyone smiles and is pleasant and helpful! They even helped us get our lost bags from the airline! Out of all the places we've stayed near UM this is one of my favorites. We booked online and all of requests were fulfilled before we even arrived! It's by no means a steal but it's not too pricey either.
