“Third world hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2012

This hotel reflects a hotel in the Third World. It's like a hotel with a popular neighborhood in Cuba. The service is mediocre, the hotel is very dirty. The elevators are broken. With your breakfast, you can have a cafe but no juice, or juice but no coffee. All is restricted. I do not recommend anyone to spend a night there. You will regret it so much as I regret paying $ 145 a night in a hole that does not even deserve the price of a one star hotel.

Room Tip: It smell bad in all the hotel

I was looking for a one night stay prior to a cruise so I didn’t need anything fancy. My usual hotels were [priced way above what I usually pay, probably due to the time of the year. So I went too Priceline and bid a few times. Ended up with this hotel. Not a dump but it wasn’t very good either. The whole hotel is very worn. I can’t really say it was dirty, just it couldn’t get any cleaner due to the wear.

Upon check in we received 2 double beds in a smoking room. They said that since we went through an outside provide that this is what we get. The room did smell of smoke but it wasn’t the end of the world once you get used to it. Unfortunately the windows do not open so I couldn’t air the room out. The folks that work there seemed OK, not overly friendly but not rude either. Sheets didn’t really fit the bed. Actually the sheets were OK it was he mattress pad. It was so stretched out of shape that it had large creases in it. Couldn’t get it to lay flat for the life of me.

If I have a choice I wouldn’t stay there again. I’d pay a bit more to move to another hotel. Maybe if we had a non-smoking room I might be persuaded, not sure.

Room Tip: Get a room away form the night club on weekends

Just used as an overnight stop after arriving in Miami before travelling on to Clearwater. Hotel was basic, a little tired but served the purpose. Would not use again if in the Miami area.

The Hotel is worst than I expected after reading the reviews, in fact it not decent, I just want to run out of if. They rooms are not clean daily, and the building is really old.

I thought the location was great! Near the airport and walking distance from plenty shopping. Taxis are readily available nearby and there is also a bus stop nearby. The staff was very friendly. I thought the restaurant was fine too. The hotel is a little bit rund down, but I can over look that. My one complaint was that there is no mini-bar / fridge in the room, and the coffee maker is in the bathroom, and they were really stingy with the coffee - supplying only one pack of decaf and one pack of regular. Really not enough.
