“Great Hotel in the City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

This hotel is located downtown within a good distance to the port. We stayed here after we got off a cruise and were very happy with the staff, location, pool and room. Very clean public areas and the pool was very fun for our 10yr old son. They offer bar and small meal service from the pool area as well. There is a building under construction right by the pool that made a bit of noise but it didn't detract from our stay..

Rooms are bright and spacious with large bathrooms. We would definitely stay again..

I chose the Conrad Miami for my pre-cruise stay November 29, 21st floor, corner room, bay view. This was my first stay at a Hilton brand Conrad property--thumbs up.

Location: downtown Miami off of Brickell Avenue, close to Brickell Village (lots of restaurants), walking distance from hotel, felt safe walking there

Hotel: very clean, courteous and friendly staff, spotless, red carpet at entrance for your arrival

Room: clean, spacious, floor to ceiling walls, marble bathroom, huge with a large shower, toiletries for your every need

Lobby: located on the ground floor with check-in on the 25th floor, three front desks with lit fireplace displayed on each of them--wow factor once the elevator opens, expensive art throughout the lobby, one piece valued at $65,000, excellent customer service

Elevators: a bit confusing; check in on 25th floor--elevator for rooms around corner

Restaurant, bar, and wine room: top of the line wines, invited to wine and cheese reception by General Manager--small wine room seating, but elegant and truly upscale
--breakfast buffet is $24 per person, oatmeal available as a side order for additional cost, assorted pastries, fresh squeezed oj, salmon cake with cucumbers on the side, yogurt parfaits, bacon, eggs (free for HHonors diamond members)
--hot cocoa is $5
--Outdoor patio dining on 25th floor with an awesome view
--Palm tree in social sitting area

Would stay here again--absolutely! It has been a long time since I've had a Hilton Worldwide property to truly acknowledge and thank me for being an HHonors diamond member. Will come back again for weekend getaway! Loved walking around in the slippers provided.

Room Tip: Spend more for a bay view room, corner rooms are quiet!

The hotel is well-located in downtown, a lower priced option near the Four Seasons. Check-in on the 25th floor, then you have to remember whether to go up or down to your bedroom.

Service throughout my stay was very good, from check-in (upgrade willingly given...and be sure to request free wifi) to the wait staff in the restaurant. All personable and no request too much trouble.

Bedrooms are a little spartan, minimal decoration and bathroom upgrades would be a useful investment. Considerable wasted space in dead zone hallway adjacent to bathroom as you enter the bedroom. Ortherwise good fixtures and excellent window shades, easy to operate.

Breakfast covers the bases. Good buffet but a little pricey at $24 pre tax. In fine weather, you can take breakfast on an outside balcony with harbor views. Happy hour apparently runs 4-7pm with 50% off everything.

Not well-known is that here are two rooftop tennis courts. I took an hour with a coach. Expensive at $80, given the courts could be better maintained, but great outdoor location fifteen stories up..

Dear spencerusa,

Thank you for your stay and thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I was very happy to read your review and the mention of our tennis courts. We are the only hotel in the area to offer 2 tennis courts for our guests. I would agree they need some refreshing but the rooftop location, right next to the pool makes for an excellent afternoon of sun and sport.

If your travels bring you back to Miami, we will look forward to the honor of your return stay. If there is anything I could do to assist in your future reservations, please do not hesitate to contact my office directly.

Great style minimal substance... The hotel certainly intends to provide the "perception" of great customer service however when faced with self inflicted situations such as overbooking, or premature checkouts the underlying goal seems to be consistent with maximizing profit in lieu of maximizing customer satisfaction. i.e. somehow checking a corporate customer staying on a much reduced rate out of the hotel prematurely during a premium festival weekend.

Have stayed there before. Service usually very good. had a noisy room and was eventually moved. Received incorrect directions from concierge for Wynnwood. Pool is great, property is in good shape. Take the orange line train from MIA. You don't need a car. ($3 and 20 minutes.) Save the money for a dinner (or two) out.

This is a classic case of a very nice hotel in a great location being made better than peers by having truly great people from front desk to valet to garage to food service. I hope they keep it up. I held a meeting at the hotel and my guests were equally impressed. As I sought a restaurant that I had a hard time remembering but could describe, the concierge knew it immediately

This is a downtown property that is built as condo tower and hotel.
it is a beautiful building, the only negatives are that the hotel room floors and rooms need some updating. The wall paper on the halls of the floor I was on was peeling..the colors of the carpet and wall paper is dull and aged. the rooms are nice and the views are great..I give it an 7-8.

Room Tip: water view
